How can we get rid of the ginger drain on resources? How about an early Chrissie pressie from TP to his old buddy Holloway. He'd look great in orange! ;D

Seriously though, what is he worth ?
Would we take 1 million say ? Would be a 4 million loss or half the season ticket takings but I really can't see anyone paying more.

There is still a good player in there! Should at least be worth around £3M in my opinion. If we can get that is another question!

I believed that to be true up to the point he went back to Reading in the Championship and they weren't a jot bit interested in retaining his services on the basis of what they saw. I think there was a good player once but I'm not sure too many people believe there is now. I'd still love him to prove me wrong, stay with us, and battle his way in to the side as the season progresses and finish with 10 goals but somehow I doubt it.

stokemark has it on the nail,I reckon his fallout with Pulis has put plenty off clubs off him and as a previous poster said I think the only way to get him off the books is gonna be on a free. Beginning to look like the worst deal the club has ever done !

Dave has had a raw deal at Stoke. If his confidence was develped he has alot to offer. Unpopular opinion I know so there is no need for the abusive condemnation. Obviously the relationship has broken down to such an extent that the best thing would be a move away - but i think he would fit in as a squad player with Jones, Tuncay and Fuller. I know it will never happen.

I neither like nor dislike Kitson, but if he's not going to play (for whatever reason) then its best to get him off the wage bill.

Went to Boro and didn't deliver. Came back and did quite well - fell-out with Pulis. How has HE had a raw deal?

Yeh if hes going to play then i wouldnt mind so much...hes certainly capable at the highest level....werent so long ago he was on the verge of an England call up...and actually i thought he had a decent return to Stoke end of last season...then he decided to go nuts and tell TP to fuck off...
I think if hes not going to play then we should accept anything round about 2 Million...anything more is a bonus...on the other hand...if he gets his ginger head down...who knows...though i really cant see him getting ahead of Jones and Mama in the target man role.. that would take some doing!

He had a raw deal because when he was playing well he wasn't backed but was dropped. He became frustrated. What cannot be denied is that he wanted to play for Stoke - all his frustrations were due to not playing - it was unfortunate that his " fuck off " incident was caught on camera. By the same critera Tuncay should be ostracised - also fuller should be held in less honour because of his misdemeanours - Striking Griffin , our captain and a good servant of Stoke, could be questioned ( By the way i think that Fuller has been stoke's best player since Hudson ) - It has proved hard for creative players to break into Stoke's clique of - Fuller , Delap, Mama

The way he ran to the papers criticising pulis publicly, and then the way he he said "Thats a fucking joke, ffs" when subbed vs chelsea, walked past TP and stuck his fingers up, on NATIONAL TV. Has he bollocks had a raw deal. If anything, hes given US a raw deal. SGT

Here's how it worked with Dave Kitson though: Dave Kitson gets given a chance to extend his Premier League career by Stoke City. He has personal problems, throws away his chance and goes back to Reading. He comes back to Stoke in the pre-season, works hard and is rewarded with a place in the team. He is dropped (wrongly) away at Everton and starts sulking again, resulting in him having to be shipped out to Middlesbrough. Second chance thrown straight back in the manager's face. Many managers would have sold Kitson in the summer. Many would have just offloaded him and ostracised him as soon as he threw away his second chance. TP gives him a third chance, which he begins to take but then throws back into the manager's face with the single worst individual performance put in by any Stoke City player last season away at Chelsea, telling the manager to 'fuck off' and then bitching about it to the press. He's had three chances and wasted all of them. If we can't sell him by the end of the window, I think it's time to cut off our ties with him by some sort of mutual consent deal.
