38 mins: GOAL! City take the lead and it comes from, who else, but Tuncay. The Turkey skipper brilliantly danced his way into the penalty area and fired a ferocious effort towards goal, which Andersen did superbly to save. However, Tuncay reacted fastest and calmly placed the rebound out of his reach and into the far corner of the net. That's five in five during pre-season.
45 mins: Huth has to be brave to throw himself in-front of the ball to divert Hoskin's powerful effort behind for a corner.
45 mins: GOAL! Rovers level the scoreline thanks to Dominic Blizzard. Sorensen misjudges the corner and the midfielder heads the ball into an empty net.
45+1 mins: GOAL! What an end to the half. Fuller sublimely puts the Potters back into the lead after beating three defenders and then rounding the keeper. Mesmerising stuff from the Jamaican. Him and Tuncay are looking good together.

Worrying that their goal came from Sorenson misjudging a corner. I can see Begovic pressing him hard for the number 1 spot this season.

I love how biased the text commentary on the official site is.
Our goals were described as "brilliant", "ferocious" and "mesmerising". Theirs was described as a header.

Something that Tommy has never done well, come and take corners clearing every fucker in the way. Usually stays on his line and lets his defenders take the blame for not clearing the header.

Encouraging signs from the Fuller and Tuncay partnership tonight then. Sadly, I don't see Tone playing them alongside each other regularly in league games though I think it's going to be one of the two alongside Mama or a player we may bring in whose a similar mould. I can see Tuncay starting more games than Ric this season though, with Ric being used as an impact sub. And it has to be said Mozza, Begovic hasn't had a convincing pre-season either. He should've dealt with Bursaspor's goal better when we were in Austria, and he could've done better with Chris Porter's goal in the Derby game too. You can't read much into pre-season I guess though, but I wouldn't rule out Nash's chances of securing the first-team jersey at some point during the season.
