Some comments on here beggar belief and are naive at best. To suggest any organisation will allow their logo to be changed or modified in any way. And for what? To make a football shirt look nice! Britannia is a well known national brand, they are recognised by their logo, the same logo they have on our shirt. Presumably the 6 figure cash sum they pay us over a period works well for both sides? Why would any company pay a huge amount to sponsor a football team to publicise their business only to confuse their existing/potential customers by changing their logo? Yes I too agree with a previous comment, I would personally like to have no sponsor on the front of our shirt, but in this day and age, that is just not realistic.

It's been done many times before, by many different companies. Including Britannia themselves, who were never bothered about the background being black before. All we're asking for is some consideration to go into the colour scheme, and how the logo is incorporated into the fabric of the shirt. Hardly beggaring belief really.

Granted beggaring belief was probably a bit strong. But my point remains... If I was a major shareholder in a company, or part of a company management team that were involved in the major sponsorship of a PL football club. I would give the shirt/logo design consideration, but would ultimately wish the shirt sponsor logo to be identical to my brand logo. Unless of course I had considered the design of my logo and how one day it might be embossed onto the fabric of a football shirt before I had refurbished 900 UK building societies frontages, printed all my corporate stationary etc etc Furthermore I read an article last season that Britannia was 1 of the top 6 recognised/known brands in the PL. Therefore as far as Britannia are concerned, job well done, why would they consider/ contemplate any different?

It is a sponsor on our shirts and a good one at that! It is plain and simple, it is in keeping with our colours and is the same name as our ground. All those with a problem and too much time on their hands that they feel a protest is in order then please knit me a scarf for next season, but please make sure the red is the right colour ;D
PS. Best scarf wins a prize

It's not Britannia's logo that's the problem FFS but the way it has been applied. They may as well go the whole hog and have the ruddy big SCFC crest above the main entrance five degrees on the piss because they didn't have a spirit level but say sod it, it'll do.

Yeah, no sponsor, how good would that be, just like the great Neil Young "This Note's For You" Don't want no cash Don't need no money Ain't got no stash This note's for you. Ain't singin' for Pepsi Ain't singin' for Coke I don't sing for nobody Makes me look like a joke This note's for you. Ain't singin' for Miller Don't sing for Bud I won't sing for politicians Ain't singin' for Spuds This note's for you. Don't need no cash Don't want no money Ain't got no stash This note's for you. I've got the real thing I got the real thing, baby I got the real thing Yeah, alright.
