I'd like Healy - a genuine goal scorer.

Id prefer Kamara from anyone else on that list
He's got the pace to get behind defences and has a decent record at this level
EDIT - I dont think we'll see anymore signings though

Got to say, I'd be really excited by Kamara.
But I don't know how many of the possible new loanees Pulis would play alongside Fuller for the last 5 games, in preference to Sidibe.
Kamara-Fuller doesn't sound like it'd work, but it'd certainly be exciting finding out.
Geography and the amount of Man City strikers in front of him must mean we'd have a decent shout with Mpenza who could do really well in this league?
Despite his shortness, he seems like he's the type who could partner Fuller?

I'd imagine that Bothroyd will be that signing but I'd love to see Kamara brought in on loan. The guy is proven at Championship Level and may feel that a loan move out will prove to Hodgson that he is wrong about him. If Tone is gonna do it then he only got two days left to do it in.
GOARRNNNNNN TONE!!

Now Bolton are out of Europe, I think Smegson may do TP a favour and lend him Helguson or Vaz Te.
I wouldn't mind Heidar, but he would be more of a target man Sidibe replacement than the striker with pace to get behind defenders TP talked about. On that front, I like the look of Sturridge, but that would be a big gamble on a young lad with the season so delicately poised.
The one who fits the description best and who has proved a success in this league before is Kamara, although Earnie would do!!

Definately not Vaz Te. He was pretty crap at Hull when he was loaned there. Don't think he would be that striker Tone wants. Although if someone signs it will poss be an unknown type, Give me Kamara and I think I may feel a little feint!!

Another point with Kamara is the fact that he can play wide left. Think he done it at Pompey and some point at West Brazil. Whether or not he would come here to play the wing who knows, but he has the pace to do it, therefore enabling Cressy to move upfront in Riccy's absence

I don't think anyone will be coming in unless we can get someone out on loan

I'd like Mpenza, he did a good job of hounding defenders for Man City in the 1st half of the season, but maybe City just won't be arsed to loan him out.
Earnshaw has come on as a sub for derby recently, fulham would probably not loan out a striker in their predicament, although mcbride is just back. I hope it's not Shola, although some on here liked his stats last time we were linked, I think he is shit.
Kamara would be nice, but i really doubt we'll get anyone.

The longer it goes on, the more i fear it will be that goalscoring machine, "Mr. Nobody" now.
I think there probably was an all the eggs in one basket scenario with Nugent too. (Did we not learn from all the arsing about he did with Ipshit?).
Hope i'm wrong (we could do with a boost - look what Dikov has done at Blackpool) but suspect Bothroyd is "it" now.

RSB, realistically, I think you are probably right.
We missed the boat with the likes of Adebola, Frazier Campbell and Dickov, all of whom could have done, albeit different, jobs for us up front.
We are left scrambling around with little likelihood of much success in securing someone who could have a big impact on the last two months of the season.

Would love to see us get Sturridge. This lad has amazing talents for his age, plus he is from congleton I believe so not far from home. Wouldnt mind Kamara, Healy or Earnshaw though.

Just a little piece on Mpenza in today's Manchester Evening News-
But how many new faces come in depend of whether four of the first-teamers out on loan - Rolando Bianchi, Bernardo Corradi, Georgios Samaras and Matthew Mills - all move on permanently.
Out-of-contract Paul Dickov will make way for another new face and there are question marks about Emile Mpenza, Geovanni and Jihai Sun too.
Whether this means he is available for loan remains to be seen?!!
I think Mpenza would be a cracking, strong striker addition. If he could have a similar impact to his teammate Dickov at Blackpool we would all be very happy people!

Looking more like 'nobody' after reading this?
4PM UPDATE: PULIS BACKS HIS PLAYERS Be the first reader to comment on this story
TONY Pulis is backing his present squad to finish the job of winning promotion - even if he fails to land another goalscoring striker between now and the end of the season.
Pulis still has his ear to the ground as he seeks cover for the suspended Ricardo Fuller's and the injury-threatened Mama Sidibe.
But he insists it isn't the end of the world if City have to plough on without a new face in attack.
"We have been looking, like everybody else, but it's a very difficult market because everybody is looking for the same players for that final push.
"But if we don't get one, we'll go with what we've got"
"We are not trying to undermine them we have, but just add to the group so we can cope with the kind of injuries and suspension we've got this Saturday"
"You are looking for a player who's better than Ricardo or better than Mama - and that isn't easy"
"If we don't get him, I'll still be confident with the squad we've got. We've done it for 39 games and there's no reason why we can't do it for the last seven."
FORMER City favourite John Eustace faces an FA charge of improper conduct after referee Rob Styles reported him for failing to leave the pitch quickly enough following last weekend's red card in the Watford v Stoke clash. Eustace, who already has a three-match ban for the original sending off, could now be punished with a further two-match suspension if found guilty.
