can't we all just accept that whether we like him or not, the results and our league position speak for themselves. sometimes he annoys me (eg when he took so long to make changes against burnley, and was perplexed by his norwich starting line-up) but other times where i've thought he was excellent, like when his selection against norwich turned out to be a masterstroke, proving that i can be wrong as can everyone. the bottom line is, we are top and a big part of that is down to him

Mr Magic The Haters know who they are mate. They are the ones that would rejoice/smile/be happy if Pulis resigned tonight. They are the ones that would be happy if he got us promoted and then he was sacked. They exist, I promise. That'll be me Mr Finney although I don't want him to resign until at least the season is over. Never one to fence sit and I just cannot warm to Pulis or his style of football.

Didn't Jose once cuff a 12 year old around the head at his daughters school? You know what long memories these PHW's have got with serious law breakers His football isn't exactly of the carpet variety either. I’d imagine the MHW’s would swing into action before the end of August

growler The Rimmers were only born because we dared question the 'Pulis will kill Stoke City with turgid, mid table garbage' Of course we had doubts. We generally thought that better times were ahead though. MarkW knows this but he just finds it difficult to be wrong. As the person who holds the copyright to the term "Pulis-rimmers", I can tell you this is not true. I coined the phrase during the Boskamp season when all the rimmers came out of the woodwork after a few bad results - sound familiar? This was well before TP's 2nd term and the fire was fuelled by the over-zealous fanaticism of certain rimmers who instantly wanted JB to fail because their messiah had been sacked. Ianrb was at the forefront, along with other dicks like thicknick/alanitsyn/uttercuntwhohastokeepchanginghisnamebecausehetalkshit who actually said he wanted Stoke to lose when we were playing away at Plymouth that season. They could not support the manager of SCFC even though their beef was with the Icelanders, yet you are asking PHW's to do the equivalent with no sense of hypocrisy. Interesting stance. It seems that your taunts are aimed at the minority who took their anti-Pulis approach to the extreme and have been pretty much shunned by Rimmers & antis alike, yet you continue your crusade of smugness. Oh well. I hope Tony does the business this season. But then I suppose the wounds you wont allow to heal will still be open when we get a tonking every week in the Prem, and this charade will continue...

Will we get tonked though, Pez?
Let's be serious here for a minute: it will be the first time the Prem has seen a back eight plus two sweepers.

Pez
I didn't mind Boskamp to be honest. I thought it was the wrong and a poor decision but that was hardly his fault.
We all know that the Pulis Haters will be giving it him with both barrells with if we do go up. He's gets stick when we are top, so he is bound to get it in spades if we did manage to get promoted as it will be a struggle.
This exactly what will happen given that a few/many just don't like the bloke.
Most are just able to hold off because we are doing well.
As much as you deny it, its the truth.
If he walked out tomorrow then I could list you plenty that wouldn't be unhappy and that is pretty astounding given where we sit in the league.

MCF. my post was about me struggling to come to terms with whether Watford was a point won or two lost. I was initially elated at 450pm, so elated in fact I did a little Pulis love wee....that left a rather substantial Pulis wankstain on my best jeans !
The lads at the game, who I all see as loyal Stoke fans who've back this club AND manager to the hilt all thought he'd bottled and was "scared" ...
Now these three lads I know represent a small fraction of public opinion, we've disagreed on lots of things in the past I dont hold their opinions as law, they do however know enough about SCFC, football and Pulis to make an informed opinion. But thats all it is, opinion.
It wasnt until I got on the board much later in the evening and read some of the posts on here about the game and performance that I realised that my elation could perhaps have been misplaced and that we may, just may, have missed a trick.
Some of the people posting "negative" Pulis diatribe on here on Saturday and Sunday are posters whose opinions I value and trust, ditto those offering a counter-argument that TP had indeed got it right.
The whole fucking game is about opinions isnt it. Some just voice theirs in a provocative way and seem hell bent on creating further division across an already fragile fan base..... whereas some, like WInger, just post in language most of us mere mortals just dont understand

Rather a minimerk than an Old Stokie’s spunk sacrifice for Bossie, GM

Opinions may differ but its ironic that Stoke's best performance (Reading H) in recent years was under the stewardship of Mr Boskamp whereas our worst (Forest A/Rotherham A spring to mind) have been under Mr Pulis.
That said, in terms of consistency, give me Mr Pulis anyday. I never, ever understood the Bossie love in. The man was a liability in my opinion.
Strange game nogger ....

You're just jealous, Victor, that we'll be having a reet good pissup in Brussels while you're doing a Rimmer Conga at Colchester. Have a good time. We will. OS.

If you want to base your mood on other people's opinion of the match then so be it. There really is no point in arguing that.
These loyal Stoke fans aren't the ones that are tasked with taking us up - the manager is.
Time will tell, whether it is 1 point gained or 2 points lost.
It certainly won't come down to your mates' opinions and the rants of Pulis Hating wankstains on here.....thank God.

I am not particularly a big fan of Boskamp or Puil but does it matter. What does matter is that our support will be in meltdown if we reach the promised land and fail precisely because of nutters like mcf. It needs to be stopped now.

So you think that we won't go up because of people like me? Interesting. You are as delluded as the Pulis Hating Wankstains that were convinced it was their attitude to the manager that got him to change his ways.

A rimmer conga sounds like a nice eel dish or substitute for a game of soggy biscuit. You're right about one thing OS, I'm jealous. i'm jealous I haven't got the nerve to be so brazen about the most misguided trip since Hitlers visit to Warsaw in the autumn of 1939.

Merk, I rarely post these days. I don't mind a good rimmer v PHW thread but most are pathetic imitations of the real thing so i don't bother. It's worth getting involved when one does pop up. It's a pity I've gotta go out now on the skool run.....but I'll be back! OS.

I also find it amazing that some people who were oh so vocal in calling for everyone to 'get behind the team' are now trying (once again) to divide the support. mcf - take a running jump.
