Crikey knowles read the thread before you get your knickers in a knot.
Generally we all think he's doing a good job.
For me, he just let himself down on Saturday - that doesn't mean I want him sacked....
.........Or does it? ;-)

I appreciate he's done well to date but for me he consistently seems to bottle it in the big games. Is he good enough - for me .....No You state that you are a fan yet then say he isn't good enough. However, later on in the thread (I have read it all ) you back down because people aren't agreeing. I was just putting my point across. Thanks for the info, my knickers were right up me arse

It was based on your assertion though Troj that he "consistently" gets it wrong in the big games. You then manage to find just 2 examples of this, one of those being a valuable point at a promotion rival.

In my view RVD...he does. Its just my opinion.
If I was bored enough I'd look back over his tenancy to find a few more examples but quite frankly I canna be bothered.

The evidence would suggest he doesn't though troj. We generally do fairly well in the bigger games and a bit shit against the smaller ones.

Statistically speaking for this season you are of course correct.
However, I'm just not so sure about his ability to really a turn a game when it matters.
I'm perhaps letting the disappointment of Saturday cloud my judgement, but overall that's just my gut feel for our Tone.

lol. I can see people moaning about Pulis in a few years' time when we only win the Treble :-)

Torj, put it this way.. we are top of the league meaning all the other managers have bottled it more times than Pulis has.. Secondly I would say right manager, wrong team.. Need more pace and quality.. but all round and excellent situation that is a credit to both!

troj you are of course entitled to your opinion but i cant really agree with you. I think Pulis has achieved miracles with afairly average side and our record against the top 6 is really quite good. So regardless of our opinions lets just try and get behind the taem and cheer us into the Prem. COME ON YOU RIP ROARING POTTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think tony pulis is a great manager, we have slipped up a bit even though we are top, but results will improve

If you played Gallagher in goal, would it still be classed as having a striker on the pitch?

Another debate. Can Pulis motivate a team to play as well against the lower sides than those at the top?

Bizarre question considering we're top of the league - but based upon saturday's performance (and the qpr match last season) is tony good enough to take us over the finishing line? I appreciate he's done well to date but for me he consistently seems to bottle it in the big games. Is he good enough - for me .....No You can understand people getting irritated when there are posts like this. Course hes the right man. Who would you prefer-Dowie, Holloway...or even Boskamp maybe. We've got who we've got so whats the point of this

Our record against teams in the top half of the table puts us second only to West Brazil (who we have taken 4 points off). Interestingly, Plymouth and Hull are third and fourth in that table and that could help us in the run in. stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/vtophalf.html

what gets me is , how many people said they would be "happy with a point" before the watford game, then have a moan when we get that point
