Well as far as im concerned he was a massive part of the team that kept us up and without his goals we would be playing Champ football, he also gave me one of my best moments in football with that goal against Citeh so i would never boo him Nearly 100% agreed. I thought Beattie was going to be Bertie Big Bollocks when he arrived, but he proved me wrong by filling the Mama role better than Mama and scoring goals too. He was a real leader by example and in the way he inspired belief in the other players . Its a real shame we haven't been able to manage to keep such an important part of our team happy and motivated. However if I thought it could help SCFC get a result I'd pretty much boo anyone.( Beattie does seem to thrive on banter though so I probably would just try the silent treatment).

I'd hope people would give him a polite clap, for all the stuff going on this season, he was in the grander scheme of things, a fantastic signing. I'll personally never forget his goals against Man City and WBA, his goal against Man City was absolutely vital, it gave us belief when we looked doomed.
I would think twice about where i'd let Beattie go, because he's the sort of player who is very likely to smash a 90th minute sicknener in and i've been on the end of too many of them as it is.

I'll applaud him purely for the goals that kept us up, and all the while being mightily relieved that the arrogant, lazy fuckstick is off our books.

he's not a Stoke player so why single him out for anything different than any other opposition player gets ??

Yes!! He's tried to distablise the club for self gain, showing a lack of respect for his team mates, the management and the fans. That deserves booing in my book That.

It's his extremely well paid job to always do his best.
He was still extremely well paid when he decided to be a trouble making cunt.
End of.

It will be best if when his name is announced everyone around the ground was silent. Booing would make him play better against us and cheering would make him think we appreciate how he was. Complete silence, however, will confuse the stupid twat.
Edit: his goals were appreciated but his attitude in 2nd season was not.

Apart form the League Cup and FA Cup, when will we get chance to boo a Coventry player? Should West Brom take the gamble,... he'll probably stay on the subs bench. In which case he'll get a few raspberries at half time.

The thing is "NO ONE" knows what really went on so it's kinda hard passing judgement without knowing the full facts. Man Citeh...Bolton he showed us what a really good player.

The fact is he was nowhere near full fitness before the towelgate incident and was clearly taking the piss. We owe him no debt of gratitude. If some bloke buys you a pint and then goes home and shags your missus you don't say thanks next time you see him in the pub.
Yes he's a very classy finisher but he's basically pissed away what could have been a very decent career with a lot more England caps than he got.
Boo him though? Not sure I see the point. Not worth the effort.

Why not?
He has taken our club for a ride and basically made a mockery of us in the media. I do not know how anyone can be bullied when they are on £40,000 a week. He has taken the piss. I hope if he ever plays against us, the Britannia stadium gives him a proper booing, a Stoke City booing because he has taken the piss out of our club this year!
