Scored today. Improved in bucketloads since he left us and I've always been impressed when I've seen him - he strikes a ball better than any of our current forwards (apart from Beattie) and he's quick too. Wouldn't be enough on his own but alongside another high-profile forward signing he'd offer us something different. Very professional, and a Stokie to boot.

Not good enough.
the Championship is his level, and to be frank, from what we saw of him during his time here he has done well to get to that level.

Scored against two of England's centre backs today. Not too shabby.

Ive said a few times id like him back, could play wide right or upfront, probably would be more of a squad player but he's got the right attitude, hed add much needed pace and loves the club. Unfortunately people now believe we should only be persuing unrealistic targets and any mention of us looking at a player that plays in the championship ( or soon will be ) is frowned upon because we are much better than that right??????

Congratulations to Martin 4 goals in a poor team having been out injured for much of it - a better return than Tuncay

We need to be looking forward not backwards. He simply isn't good enough. We have enough dead wood without adding more

It's going to be interesting to see what quality of forward we do manage to attract though?

I've been saying this for weeks now... ;D He looks better on the wing than as a striker though, decent pace and a good cross, just what we need.

For those saying lets not go back, with that attitude we wouldn't have re-signed Higgy,Sir Stan or John Ritchie or even Huddy.

Yeah he played as a right winger today. A sublime cross to set up Cork's goal and scored a great poacher's goal.

For me, I wouldn't just buy him as a squad player, because he looks twice as good as lenny does, he's basically lenny but with pace and can run past people. I'd have him over Pennant anyway.

when you weigh it up it wouldnt be a bad piece of business, still young, loves the club, wouldnt break the bank meaning if it didnt work out we wouldnt lose out ( kitson ), can play a couple of positions, right attitude coupled with the must have pulis ingrediant 'arrd workin'

think it would be a great deal, not saying it would end our goal scoring problems, but it would give us a better option than delap or even lawrence on the right. those saying he is not good enough for this league, take a look at some of our squad players, he is just as good if not better than some of those.

Turns 23 tomorrow so still young. Has come on a great deal in the past few years since he left us, has premier league experience, knows where the back of the net is, loves the club, would be cheap, would offer more of a threat on the right wing than Lawrence or Delap If we had never heard of him and he was playing for some obscure club in south america and we had expressed an interest in him everyone would be jizzin themselves over him

Not touting him as the saviour and solution to our goalscoring problems, but surely it wouldn't be a bad move to sign a (relatively) cheap, fairly promising, young striker who has proven he can score goals in the Premier League?

Not as good as Cressers and never will be. in about 2/3rds as many appearances he's scored more goals in a shit Burnley team that went down than Cressers managed for us last season
