The same could be said of Gallagher I suppose. In fact I'm surprised Sparky hasn't recalled him and sent him somewhere that will guarantee him a start, which in all honesty could be any team in our division.

True, RAF,but wasn't Gally's loan to the end of the season - so he can't be recalled?

I suppose there is nothing to stop us trying to loan Sinclair - if he fancies a few months move to the frozen north????

was recalled before last nites match because he spent 3 games with splinters in his arse, all I can think is that pardew really has lost his marbles

That's a fair point, not sure about that one. Wasn't Fulop's loan until the end of the season aswell though?

Talk is they didn't rate him.
To be honest, it smacks of how big these PL teams think they are. Pardew, for all his fuckwittery, has a job to do and that job is to steer his side back into the Premier League. For Chelsea to perpetually insist Sinclair plays despite the fact he may not be suitable for a game is poor form.
I cannot imagine Hughes insisting Gally plays, Pulis would tell him to do one and quite rightly too.

No - Fulop's loan was after the main window closed so it was an emergency loan - whilst Gally's was whilst the main window was open so it was a non emergency loan.
Note - the above could be bollox - I don't really know!!!

Hmmm maybe so, but what's the point in sending players out on loan if they are just going to be warming the bench?
;D Usually I'd only be too glad to agree Forner, but I think you are correct, sounds like something I have read somewhere.

I didn't realise that they had got Leroy Lita, fakkin ell he has had more strikers than Sheff Utd under Warnock.

If he can't get into Pardarse's Charlton Globetrotters XI, would he feature any more for us with Gallagher already collecting splinters?
Aaaaaard work doesn't appear to be top of Sinclair's attribute list - and if Chelsea are going to get arsey when he doesn't start, it's a recipe for disaster.
But if we were seriously in for him 3 wks ago, maybe we will try again.

He did come to the Brit for talks didn't he - I thought that was confirmed? So we were presumably serious?

Post by FullerMagic on Mar 12, 2008 14:48:07 GMT
Don't think it was confirmed, forny.
But there was lots of stuff 'out there' about our interest, wasn't there?
I thought you only had a recall window after a month of these 93 day loans?
But the Fulop and Sinclair deals maybe show you can insert special clauses which mean you can recall at any time?

A deal's a deal, so they can write "in" whatever the two parties agree i guess.
That said, i actually thought it was the other way around: that there was immediate recall within the first month as "standard" (see the above).
Either way, yes a top prospect but i think we too would fall into the same trap & secure an expensive benchwarmer?
TP has had the option of using surely one of the best left wide men available to him for every game but does he play him ahead of Cresswell - no matter how unsuited he is to the left wing?
Does he buggery.

The only reason Pardew had him at Charlton was to stop us having him. Simple as that!

If you send a player out on loan for the experience and he is spending most of the time on the bench, then yes recall them and send them to a team who would be glad of such a player to help them.
Mind you Sandford, you called Gally a mediocre Championship player so I wouldn't expect you to understand.

No idea if the player ever had talks with Stioke but Rudge spent ages speaking to Chelsea & the deal looked (according to my sauce.....) on.
was reported after taht he didnt come to Stoke because we couldnt guarantee him (quite rightly,he's not Pele) starts.
on that basis presume there wont be a deal unless Sidibe is out for a while & Fuller gets booked Saturday?

www.addickted.net/newsitem.php?id=683Sinclair scared of The Valley
Chelsea have recalled on-loan winger Scott Sinclair from the Addicks after becoming concerned for their player - or were they? Charlton struck a deal with Chelsea for the services of Sinclair after beating off stiff rivals Stoke City and Ipswich Town.
The deal stipulated that Sinclair would be given plenty of first team action at SE7, but Alan Pardew has gone against this agreement and only started Sinclair on the bench.
Chelsea have therefore reacted angrily to this decision by the Charlton boss and decided the winger would be better off gaining experience in the Chelsea reserves again.
However, we are also hearing that Sinclair was in fact "frightened" by The Valley crowd, and Pardew saw this loan deal not working out; so if he has returned to Chelsea, it looks to have worked out for the best.

Frightened by the Valley crowd!!!!! ;D ;D ;D Pisser! Obviously to quiet for the lad . . . But then again living around that neck of the woods for a while I know the general intelligence level of the locals . . . and I was regularly scared of walking around the place!

Isnt there some rule about how many teams a player can actually play for in any given season ?
