Just found this link.
Brought back memories of the Vic. Didn't Fox threaten to quit after this? That and they turned us around to attack the Boothen first half...

I was at the match in The Boothen End that day. Didn't Billy Badback score from the penalty spot? Brilliant match!

One of the great games. And Chambo's cross was staggering for that first goal.

Great game remember Barker the night before predicting a goal fest. Dreamt of Europe then came the long ball the season after and we all know what happened then.

One of the best games i ever went too and the penalty miss at the end will live long in the memory for me as hamburgpotter said.Pretty sure it was Derek Parkin that went in goal and Steve Bould that gave away the penalty and even Bracewell scored that day as well.

Thinking on, this match would make a good trivia quiz question, WHO PLAYED WITH 3 GOALIES IN ONE MATCH ??? Us, in the above match... Foxy,Bracewell and Parkin.

Didnt the shit play with 3 goalies in the cup last season. Vad der sar got injured, his repacement (him with the polish name) got sent off so Rio Bird-in-Hand played the last few minutes.

It was Brian Parkin who played in goal mate...and i think the 7-2 against Leeds was about 1987-88...

All Lutons goals were scored when we had ten men. When they got their first Mickey Thomas was off getting treatment.

I remember it like yesterday.
Chambo's cross on the first goal was unbelievable. His body swerve caused half the Boothen End to fall out of the ground and have to pay to get back in.

always ranks as one of my all time top Stoke games, the way the emotions swung that day was a day to remember forever, compare that day to the binary season
