Does signing professional mean he can go out on loan? Is the loan window still open?

is he any good? looked quick with a good touch at burnley, but also he does look very lightweight. You never know with youngsters could turn out like Rooney or like jermain Palmer

I thought there was talk a year or so ago about him having less than a stellar attitude. The comments in the piece are the opposite, but of course that's what they'd say in nay event. Anybody recall those conversations...?

He has a superb attitude both to training and games where his workrate is tireless.
I think you are perhaps confusing the fact that it was reported that he had to cope with the sad loss of his Mother a couple of years back which would obviously be difficult for most youngsters.

Didn't someone claiming to be one of his ex teachers at school come on here and say he wasn't impressed with his attitude at school?
I wasn't that impressed by his comments as any teacher who would name and shame an ex pupil on a football message board isn't the sort of teacher I would want for any child of mine.
Secondly, I suspect Moult will, like most kids, have done a fair bit of growing up since he left school and I doubt if the club would speak so highly of him if they felt he had serious issues.
Anyway, congratulations Louis, I hope this is the start of a great pro career.

Anybody recall those conversations...? Was this it? “Unfortunately, he would argue with everybody, especially referees, and used to retaliate a lot. “There are thousands of youngsters out there with the right talent, but the wrong attitude, so I had to be fairly strong with him. “It was a case of being cruel to be kind because I knew he had talent, and I’ve got to say his attitude over the last year-and-a-half has been phenomenal. “He’s really knuckled down and has now got a great head on his shoulders. He’s come such a long, long way since those early days.” www.whydelilah.co.uk/news/12_Mar_2010/Moult+takes+heed+of+coachs+advice.html

Just out of curiosity, how much could a 17 year old academy graduate reasonably expect to earn at Stoke?

When does the football league lone window close? it might be that the club are looking to send him out on a loan deal. He has to be on a pro contract to go out on loan.

"sack of shite Beattie"
Seriously, this guy goes from hero and possibly along with Matty, kept us up last season. The guy has obviously got a cheeky attitude and it's seemingly pissed off the stubborn manager. 2 opposites. Either way it is quite obvious that Beattie ISN'T shit so why do people keep saying this? If it is true about the operation then his lack of form this season is probably down to a lingering injury.

He's been given plenty of chances since December and basically wandered about the pitch not giving a fuck and being a moody fucking cunt. that's why he's a sack of shit. if he put some effort in people would think differently.

Well done Louis! There are a good many kids who hate school and dont go on to further education, not for want of a brain but of one under-used. Many can be easily forecast to do much better in a different environment and it's great to see them prove themselves. I bet someone like Terry Venables and Alan Sugar were real smart-arses in the classroom, but didn't do too badly, did they?
Come on Louis, just prove your teacher wrong and become the local hero we're crying out for.
