their are some quite good players who i reckon would do well and thrive in the premier league. This Sigurdsson looks quite good and wouldnt hurt to maybe look at him. One player i would love stoke to sign is Dorrans. Naturally loves to get on the ball and play and is very good on set plays. Dorrans would be good I reckon as well, trouble is I think a lot of people would say that though, maybe even a couple of the teams in europe. I personally think there's lots of players capable in the fizzy pop league.

I don't drink. ;D I just think it's pretty meaningless as each player should be judged on his merits. Cresser is a player on the downturn due to his age. This Reading lad has 10 years left in him barring injury. Totally different players that shouldn't be compared imo.
Tell a lie I've got some lovely orange squash. ;D

Will we take a risk on a young Lower League player after Soares. We all know TP's preference for experienced Prem players. March, I think we maybe could take a gamble? This lad is no Soares, believe me. His set pieces alone, and dare I say in conjunction with Mama/ Heskey/ Samba would amount to a fair few points. He's a very hard worker and will willingly put his body on the line if needed. However, I think we'd be paying in the region of 5 mil, which does start to look a step to far. Right, I need to say something, get off chest... You, and others, mention the fact that TP will always choose a older proven prem player. Well I think that has been wise over the last 2 seasons but we need to maybe change this tactic slightly. What I'm saying is this. Do you think our coaching staff have the ability or where with all to train, mentor and intergate a young player? I know, you will say they've succeded with Ryan, but I think Man Yoo's coaches had something to do with that as well? We need younger blood and in time our academy will, I hope, provide but in the mean time, we are going to have to thake that gamble. And this guy is worth it, imo.

I have no problem with lower league gambles. Most of our current squad have stepped up well from the Championship. I was trying to point out that a good player in the Championship isn't necessarily going to perform well in the Prem.

I was trying to point out that a good player in the Championship isn't necessarily going to perform well in the Prem. Whilst that's sometimes the case, it isn't always. My point is there is a 20 yr old midfielder with 15 odd goals and over 12 assists, who with luck, hard work and good coaching will be a top draw player. I think he will be, but with the way we scout and buy players, that will be for Sunderland/ Fulham/ Wolves or any number of clubs. Sadly, it won't be Stoke. Why would it be, when we can have Kev Kilbane strutting his stuff?!
