I tend to agree with Johnno.
I'd wish untold misery on Birmingham and Wolves.
I don't mind West Brazil.
They are fucking full of it, but I don't mind them.

Even if all you say is true, would you not agree that your Manager's comments can come over as being arrogant, and that the media - Central TV the worst offender - have portrayed the image/myth that you're the only team that play proper football, and that you are certs for promotion? Well thats fair enough but it's not the fans fault is it? We don't dictate to Central TV what they should or shouldn't say about us. It's the local media - of course they are going to be biased. It's the same as local radio when the commentators orgasm when the local side scores. To blame the fans for it wouldn't be appropriate. As for Mowbray, i honestly don't know which comments you are referring to so i will let you fill me in before i can comment on that but what what i will say about him is that he actually comes across as a really decent bloke. He's got no heirs or graces and if anyone read the article on him in the Observer last week - it's clear to see he's a very grounded person who puts things into perspective. His first wife died and he admits that there is more to life than football. I fully understand what you say about the Midlands media - just a symptom I think of the Birmingham/Black Country bias that all Regional organisations have across a wide range of contexts. As for Mowbray, I have to admit that I can't give a specific quote, but I do recall comments he made after we beat you at the Brit which came over to me as arrogant. As you say, the Observer profile did give a good impression of the bloke. Occasionally, perhaps, he is too grounded - I don't think I saw a smile on the BBC coverage of yesterday's cup game, even after the fifth goal went in.

I'm pretty sure he's taking the piss. Prob directed by the Sjoke fans that came up with it out of envy. Oh dear another fan who seems to have lost his way, check the league table idiot and stop coming on here.

At last! Some people who talk sense and aren't swayed by others irrational dislike for us! Some very nice posts there lads - thanks.
Mowbray could certainly smile more - i would have thought he'd have cracked one on Sunday but still theres no sign. Were his comments after the game at the Brittania related to something about games over the course of the season and we'll still finish ahead of you? Or something like that? If they are what i'm thinking of then i can see why he may have alienated people but in all seriousness i think thats the only time since he took charge that i've heard him talk like that. I've only heard him criticise a ref once too (which btw was fully justified) so i think overall he doesn't have a bad record of shouting his mouth off. He's usually quite reserved.
Btw, a point on the Midlands media - you may think the Black Country gets favouable attention but Birmingham and Villa are treated like AC and Inter by the local press. In the BC, it's Wolves who grab most of the headlines as the Express & Star is a Wolves rag. Just imagine being a Walsall fan.

Just imagine being a Walsall fan. At least when the football gets bad you can watch the road and play punch buggy.

"Mowbray could certainly smile more" - as much as an understatement as saying that Sir Alex could moderate his comments about refs.
"Just imagine being a Walsall fan" - I'd rather not.
