Tevez out, Ireland in. Not bad. Is that what has been said? Cuz if that's the only team news, then they're missing a player from their last match line-up, as Adam Johnson can't play today as he's cup tied. Know who's replaced him?

Hope Tunch has a good game, I'd love to see him make that position his own . It'd be great to have him and etherington on either wing, to have Etherington, Tunny and Fuller all on the pitch at the same time will be interesting, it has potential to be really explosive, it certainly gives us some much needed pace . goooorraaannnnn stoke .

Just taken it from the Man City forum. You'd expect that useless winger Petrov to replace Johnson.

I think we will nail them 2-1, seen as im a positive person! Im just saying, IF we lose then people like yourself will be blaming the inclusion of Diao as the main reason we lost. As RVD has said, Diao has his best games away from home where the opposition have the majority of possession. Which Man City will have today

Me too but I also fancy us not getting a foothold and being overun in midfield. Barry ran the game at their place on Boxing Day and now he's got 2 co-conspirators in there with him. Barry/De Jong/Ireland vs Whelan and Diao

Mama will have to work hard tracking back today to make up numbers in the midfield.
How do we usually fair against a 5 man midfield ?

Most midfield partnerships would stuggle against those 3 who are all different types of player and all are some of the best about at what they do. Should be fun! At this moment though I can't see anything bar Barry running the show as he did on Boxing Day. Super Dave Kitson on the bench.

I actually don't understand all the bullshit and hating of Diao. When he came into our midfield this season he's actually settled us down and add steel to the midfield that was missing. Whelan on the other hand has been consistently shite. I fully expected TP to rest Whitehead - he can't keep up the kind of running he does in a game for 4 games in 10 days. I just hope Whelan has one of his good games and doesn't do put in his usual shadow chasing performance.
