There were problems with the team selection last night, that was glaringly obvious. I still can't work out why Whitehead gets played out wide, he's our best central midfielder by a mile.
Some of the team had poor games last night, Whelan struggled so did Wilko but as things go it was a pleasing night and a game we should of won.

Come on fromafar, we played very well second half and absolutely battered Wigan. Would you agree we played extremely well against Blackburn in the second period? How many goals did we score in that 45 minutes?

With Lawrence or not we couldn't have played any better if we tried particularly in that second half. couldnt have played better if we tried ??? I would imagine seeing 2 or 3 goals going in of we had played better ! we did play MUCH better in the 2nd half than the first, but its not close to how well we have played in a few other games this season ! Piss off fromafar. As i was going to say bayern. Stoke obviously planned on keeping it as tight as they could instead of taking them on toe to toe because not only is that the way we play but Wigan are a pretty decent team on the counter. Thereafter we took it to them and because Sidibe hits the bar all this ficklness tends to come out, not only from yourself but also others too. Oh yes i hear you say why didn't we just start of like we did for the last 49 minutes and that's because no team could keep that tempo up for a whole 90 plus minutes.

What a difference a day makes
Yesterday, I was delusional and an oatcake m/b wrecker.
Today, I'm a point of reference.
Let the good times roll.

... is what you'd be forgiven for thinking we suffered reading this message board. I honestly cannot believe the criticism of the performance and the result last night. That second half must have been the best 45-minutes of away football Stoke have played in the Premier League. Yes, even better than WBA (a) or Hull (a) last season. Credit where credit is due, TP did exactly what everyone wanted in that second half and really went for the jugular. And then there are the individuals being slammed for awful performances: So far, we have.... Wilko ....shit Higgo ...shit Delap...shit Whelan ...shit Mama ....shit Amy more before we close the book? I never thought I would agree with mcf, but he's completely right in exposing some of the crazy OTT criticism of individuals last night. That's about half the team in that list who had a supposedly poor game, and yet we didn't leave with a 5-0 hammering, we gained an entirely creditable draw that could so easily have been a win. All of those players played their part. imo he cost us 3 points, if we can start and finish like we did at home, why only 45 minutes away.

The majority of posters seem positive to me. That's all you can ask for really.

All we lacked second half was a little bit of luck.

Edit - And for your information the Wigan game was diffderent from the Blackburn game in the sense that Stoke totally hammered Wigan in that second half and couldn't keep that pressure up for a full match. Then again you were not there. Now same as ive asked before just ignore my posts the same as i do yours. Oh feck now ive responded but thats only because you had to go and quote me on this thread.
