There were (uncoroborated) reports of some trouble from a small group of York fans during the morning in Wetherspoons in Newcastle - anyone else hear that? P.S. - Very poor taste in pubs it has to be said! Untrue. I was in there when the coaches pulled up along with 5 police cars, a dog handler and a riot van. They had a few drinks and left to go round the town. No trouble due to amount of police but the locals in the pub didn't want them there as they were obviously some of their lads. Shows how out of hand rumours can get. Good to meet you yesterday PCW.

It should be an expensive game for them. 1. They should be fined for turning up late and delaying the kick off. With the weather forcast they should have stayed overnight. I don't except they could nt afford it becuase they got a good amount of prize money for winning in Round 2. 2. They should be made to pay for the damage in the away end. 3. They should be made to apologise to the kids working behind the food kiosks for the unexceptable threatening behaviour. Food kiosks that had to be closed for fear of trouble. Before the game I thought what a great turn out for a small club. Now, I have no respect for them at all. bang on mate, on all points

See one rumour has already been shown to be false on this thread.

I saw those window lickers arriving at the ground. Giving it the big 'un until a Stoke fan (whose family they were abusing) opened the door to the coach. Their faces went a nice shade of white. ;D

Fact of the matter is:
My nephews girlfriend works for the catering part of SCFC. Yesterday she was in the away end. At half time Ispoke with both my nephew and his girlfriend in the Seddon Stand concourse. I asked the girl why she was nt working.
She told me the story about the food kiosks being closed. I got it first hand. So it is no rumour.
You should be disgusted Yorkcityfc77, and don't try and use PVFC for poor excuses

I know, I got food from there, as did a few thousand others. And I spent all of half time down there meeting up with friends who were dotted around the away end. No trouble, all getting food from these apparently closed kiosks. If I was you, I'd check whatever real reason your "Nephew's girlfriend" wasn't working, as she's obviously lied to you. Given you weren't there (in the area of the ground in question), I'd also suggest you think twice before posting crap rumors based on second hand information. Another shit rumour it would certainly appear. However, I'm guessing you pulled this crap out of your arse, as you've obviously got a problem with York fans, by backing up Port Vale's hangeroners did nothing wrong, and having a go at me for no fucking reason. Idiot.

I was there with my two sons, nothing happened before the match, nothing at half time, it was closed when we came out at the end, when did it happen?

yorkcityfc77 I have no reason to doubt her. I have known her long enough.
I find it funny how you don't see that this thread was nt started by me. The idiot here is you, trying to defend a pathetic situation.
Go back to your tinpot league with your tinpot manager.
Did you enjoy your cup final YOU idiot????

And if you read the thread, I first said we would pay for any compensation, citing the Halifax example. Did you miss that? Second post I made was "does anyone have any proof?" (Given no one I know has heard of this, nothing at all). My third post was in reaction to your so called post, as I know for a fact that's false. You have every reason to doubt her (providing that's the case as this isn't just you being the hardman of the forum ;D). They were NOT closed. Now I could be making that up, sure. But ask around. Find out exactly what damage was done (no one has said), and get us some facts. We'll go from there. And yes, we did enjoy our cup final. Thanks for asking

You don't know mw yorkcityfc77.
I don't ever try to act the 'hardman'. I tell it as I'm told.
The reason the kiosks were closed is because the toilets were trashed and the staff behind the counter were threatened by York City fans.
Fact is I know who I believe.

Ok, but you did pile in all roudy, which is always hilarious on an messageboard. Sure, I can understand you believing someone you know. Problem is, I went down there at half time, and moved around the whole area. No trouble. We only heard about an incident with a steward, lad got chucked out, but that seemed very isolated. Got food just before the start of half time when the queues went down a bit, still open and selling pies. No idea about the toilets, but those kiosks were open, throughout half time, and that's all I can say. Most people seemed only to be freezing their arses off. I can't even see why anyone would threaten such staff, as our main support would have dealt with them if they had seen that. I know I'd of piled in if I had seen anyone acting like a tit. We wouldn't want that kind of representation. However, can't deal with something that certainly did not exist, and I'd not hide the fact if it had. Absolutely no trouble down there as alleged.

usually if there is any trouble like this then it is let out officially to shame the so called supporters who did it. there has been nothing in the 24 hours following this game so that questions that the incident did actually happen.
if it did happen, then the york fans who did it are fucking dickheads. High profile game and just patheitc, IF IT HAPPENED.
on the subject though, i saw the best and worst of york supporters yesterday. there were some york fans being tits in the harvester yesterday blocking the door and one bloke got pushed sending his little boy flying in the process. however outside stoke station last night i had a good chat with a few of them waiting for the train and they were a really friendly bunch.

They were in Wethers in castle trying to be intimidating but the locals just stood there laughing and when they saw there was no fun to be had they left. Why come out with bollocks like this? About 60 York fans in Wetherspoons, having a drink and some something to eat, barely anyone else in there and certainly no intimidation, no bother or anything at all. Moved on elsewhere and same again.

Good luck to you York, we were poor and you got a goal so fair play to you. Well done for bringing so many fans, you did yourselves proud.
But, the fact is: we are in the shit at the moment ,and on current form were are verly likely to get relegated, hence the bad mood on here. Read some of the other threads, some twatters want Pulis and Fuller out!! Good luck for the rest of the season, you are too big for non league.

I don't think it would be right to make them pay, it isn't the clubs fault and their finances are nowhere near as good as ours, so we should pay, it won't be much when compared to the millions we'll be spending this month yep millions
