Brum are doing well - confidence up and up for a battle. Are we? On this showing, no Which is going to be our bloody problem for the rest of the season; we have totally fallen for Second Season Syndrome. When we were throwing away points earlier in the season and saying 'But we've got X more points than this time last year and we've got a better side.' - We forgot one thing - this is still The Prem and no team is going to want to give up being in it.

Right TP against the Bluenose scum lets get back to the fuckin basics: Sorro Wilko (if fit) Shawcross (if fit) Huth Higgy Lawrence Whitehead Delap Etherington Fuller Sidibe/Beatte - whoever is the fittest. Fuck this passing around shite hit it long and get Delap sending those throws in hard and low! Lenny into middle and Whitehead on bech with Tunny on right

OM - if you go by that reckoning how many in our side are due a goal? Sarcasm that was .. .. I think you'll find . . . but I've been pissed for the past 2 days so it might be hard to tell! Ahhhhhh Garrido not played since Easter - bang on to score their third!

My thoughts too mumph, everyone said don't worry about the points we've dropped agaimnst Hull, Wolves etc etc there's still lots of the season to go. However, we then had so many hard games to go and are now slipping into oblivion with no idea how to go forward and score. Lost confidence and losing the plot

But the reversion to Sidibe up front has been a move back to basics. Why not abandon the "cage" and play a diamond midfield of Whitehead, Lawrence, Etherigton and Tuncay, with Fuller and BT up front. Surely Whitehead plus four centre backs is enough defenders even for TP? Before anyone starts. I know this will not happen.

swampy....their aint no other options though. It pisses me off. Fucking Whitehead gets a game Lawrence doesnt. Fuller (our best player despite all this Tuncay shit) is on the bench and the two work well together. Shit performance. They owe us one against Brum, tit heads Merry fucking Christmas

2:0 But realistically - after Tuncay didn't score when one on one with t' keeper - we were never in the game yet Man C frankly never had to get a sweat on.
I'm worried.

Well it bloody well should, Growler. Friggin' around all the time with the strikers is a confidence downer. Put two proven strikers in Beatts and Fuller upfront with Tuncay lying just behind. Lawrence must play Sunday.
Jeez that was so disappointing.

Would you say it was a game of missed oppotunites, and/or poorer performance than the Villa game?
Either way, Monday...if no 3 points against Birmingham, i would really be concerned!

Very anaemic display from Stoke. Never in the game and could have played all day and not scored. They have better players and Stoke are just too conservative to cause an upset.

And John Arse Lick Acres is trying to blame a miss by Tuncay for the result....What about Diaos shite pass in the build up to the 1st goal, or his blunder in the 2nd goal! Too many passengers ! Too many players playing poor! Too defensive!

Looking at the two sides, it's hard not to go for anything over than an easy win for Man City. However, they concede goals, quite a few of them actually - so you never know if we stay solid for the first 30 minutes. I think it'll be 2-0 Man City, because i can't see us scoring a goal if Fuller doesn't play, and that seems very likely. Without Fuller = sure fire loss. Spot on again but it's not hard to predict really is it? I laughed at the "I have a good feeling about this one" posts, there were a lot of them ;D He's our best player by a mile, the most effective by a country mile. People can laud Tuncay all they want but at the end of the day there's a player who's been sitting on the bench in the last 2 games who is one hell of a player, and should be playing every single minute, whether he's fucked or not.

Bring back the team that won matches last year, and everyone else gets to be subs.

Yes our midfield passing and retention was piss poor again today, but if Given hadn't made the saves from Tuncay and Beattie, as bad as we were there may have been a point in it for us. Without decent service from the right our attack is just too predictable, it's either lumped down the middle or through Matty down the left. Just watch B'ham put the boot in on Matty just like Wigan did, 'cos once he's been discouraged we are just left with the lump down the channels and middle. I also thought that Whelan was at his worse today and whatever has happened to his shooting, I don't think that he has had a shot on target out of his last 7 attempts.
