Markscfc71, what does that mean, what is a footballer doing riding a bike. Exactly in your eyes should be riding bikes then?

You would think that a professional footballer's contract would prevent them doing risky stuff like riding motorbikes...

I'm not entirely sure what life changing means. Hopefully in this case it 'just' means the end of his career (if that makes sense). As mentioned though, I'm surprised a professional footballer is allowed to ride a bike...didn't Matt Jansen's coma result from a bike accident in Italy?

is this not allowed to ride bikes mainly based on the following that car drivers do constantly: Making phone calls Texting Pouring out drinks from a flask Doing their make up and adjusting hair Eating after the food is taken out from its packaging Adjusting the radio Looking for that all important CD Rolling a cigarette Turning around to shout at the kids on the back seat
Just a few pointers, that funny enough I have yet never seen a motorbike rider do.
Your all correct you car drivers are selfish and think in the box the box being your bloody cars and sod everyone else.
Rant over, although this rant is based on fact of 32 years of riding motorbikes and 2 accidents, funny enough caused by car drivers, ooppps sorry I didnt see you, really, what chance do pedestrians have then, or was this you didnt see me because you were making yet another phone call???

I think the point me and others are trying to make is NOT that motorbike riders are less responsible than car drivers but that if you are in an accident on a motorbike then you are more likely to suffer injuries. As in this case - Cudicini has come off far worse than the car driver.

If bikers weren't so bloody selfish and reckless and weaving through and overtaking traffic at the first opportunity then maybe us car drivers wouldn't purposely try to take you out!
(See we can all genralise)

Markscfc71, what does that mean, what is a footballer doing riding a bike. Exactly in your eyes should be riding bikes then? with all due respect mate, what is meant is that you are more likely to be seriously injured on a bike. When Banksy was here, he contract stated that he was banned from riding a motorbike, along with other activities such as horse riding, skiing, shooting and playing 5-a-side footy. (the latter of which he did anyway.)

I guess it all depends how badly his wrists are broken and if he's damaged more than bones, sounds like it was a serious impact. A season out for a 36 year old keeper really is career-threatening, you don't get your reflexes back so quickly even if he does recover fully, all the very best to him.

'Potentially life-changing' does sound like a euphemism for 'may end up in a wheelchair' actually, doesn't it? Really hope and pray that's not true.
