What a sick, tired joke they are. Sky tell us they're the best team in the Premiership, they're likely to win the league. Undoubtedly, they have good players. Sure, they can put together some good moves. But they are the most odious, despicable unbearable collection of the dregs of humanity. They really push Manchester United for the title of the most unbearable club in the world. I don't know who to start on. Maybe Captain John Courageous? The gutless, spineless cheat who supposedly represents us as a nation on the international scene. Went missing whenever the ball was in the air, partly culpable for the goal, seemed to think he was above the game. He was always in the referee's face and there was one notable incident where he received treatment and seemed to think that he didn't have to go off the pitch like everyone else. How about Drogba? I have never seen a worse sportsman than he. That rolling about in the first minute, the constant chatting to the referee, the screaming in the face of the linesman, the constant fouling. Ashley Cole, another of these types who claims that English players don't dive and cheat, and yet he got Shawcross booked when he dived over his challenge and yet another player who thought the game was his to run. Ballack, even worse. That idiot who kept standing in front of Rory and then cried foul when the referee called him back for him. There was an incident in the first half, I think relating to the throw-ins, where EVERY SINGLE CHELSEA PLAYER on the pitch surrounded the referee. That's not football. That is cheating and intimidation.

As for Mike Dean, well I'm sorry Mr Dean, you tried your hardest but they ran the game for you. You tried standing up to them and they surrounded you and harangued you. They started to con you. They tried to take 100 miles so they could get away with stealing a mile out of you. They intimidated you and your officials. There was one incident where the linesman watched Ballack take a free-kick from off the pitch, resulting in a move that led to a string of Chelsea corners. The player who was standing in front of Rory should have been sent off for that incident with a high foot on the halfway line. You do have my sympathy, I've no doubt they tried to get to you at half time. I saw the Chelsea bench gesturing 'five' to your fourth official before he announced the injury time. They got to him too. Come out and say something, be brave.

So you know what Chelsea? Take your three points. Take your League Title, you can have the Champions' League as well. I'm beyond giving a fuck about you because you are slowly killing football for me. You take the game and you strangle out of it all the things that make it good. I hope you set up your own European Super League and take The Shit with you. I hope your owner gets arrested by the Russian government and thrown in prison at the same time the roof blows off your uninsured main stand. I hope that you appeal against FIFA's transfer ban and they finally come down on grotty tin-pot cheats such as yourselves properly and ban you from playing any professional football while freezing movement of players from the club. I hope every single player in that Chelsea squad gets stuck there for life without trophies or medals, because that's what they deserve. Their fans were happily holding up some poxy banner proudly adorned with the words 'since 1905'. 1905? What sort of tin-pot club advertises that against the second oldest league club in the world? Not only do they have 40 years less history than us, but they've spent the last 104 years being completely unnoteworthy, being a team of mavericks and fancy Dans with a following of cocky Southern troglodytes to being universally reviled. You are a stain on football in this country and in the world as a whole. If that's what you have to do to get trophies and medals these days, you can shove them. Give me the Stoke - Sunderland match of a couple of weeks ago any day over any big four encounter. It's not just you, Chelsea, because Liverpool, The Shit and Arsenal are just as bad, but the fact is that you are KILLING THE GAME. I don't use that term lightly, but you destroy the game for the ordinary supporter. Do you know what the worst bit of it all is? Not one TV channel will have the balls to stand up and say "I watched Chelsea today and I was sickened by their antics". They rely on teams like Chelsea to make their money, so they have to crawl on their knees and light candles at the feet of whichever foreigner happens to be managing them this week as he stubs out his expensive cigars on their naked back. Nobody has the courage to stand up to them, nobody speaks out, nobody pays attention to the ordinary people in football who are fed up of them. Nobody will stop them until they have wrenched the last drop of blood from a game, until the soul of football has blackened, festered and descended into Hell where it becomes Satan's tortured plaything.

Chelsea will even ruin international football for me. How can you really get behind Captain John Courageous, Lampard and Cole? They are football's vermin, who have lost their way. Another cowardly, gutless display from all three of them (although Lampard did have a decent game), symptomatic of all England's problems. Do I want these petulant shirkers to represent my country? Do I want the world to look to them as a reflection of our nation? I am ashamed of them.

This isn't about defeat. This isn't about it being a last minute killer. This isn't sour grapes or bitterness. This is a simple lament for the game that I love which has been brutally raped and sodomised by Chelsea. I wouldn't be writing this had they behaved with grace, integrity and dignity.

I apologise that this may have become long, wordy and incoherent, but if anything I had to get this off my chest. Let me put it like this. If Stoke City ever played like Chelsea did today, if we ever resorted to those kind of tactics, scraping the very bottom of the moral barrel, I would sell my season ticket and go to watch Meir KA. I wouldn't care what we won, I could not watch us sell our soul.

'You take the game and you strangle out of it all the things that make it good.'

I'm beginning to think the same of the dreadful defensive horseshit that we've been turning out for far too long.

'If Stoke City ever played like Chelsea did today, if we ever resorted to those kind of tactics, scraping the very bottom of the moral barrel, I would sell my season ticket and go to watch Meir KA. I wouldn't care what we won, I could not watch us sell our soul.'

Do you know why that's so fucking funny? It's because it's exactly the same shite that many of our own used to blart out whenever we lost to a bunch of defensive long ball merchants. If we ever resort to constantly giving the ref shit at every available opportunity I suppose you'll console yourself by saying that everybody else does it so why shouldn't we or something similar?

It happens in football - get over it.

I think he's actually talking about the cynical fouls, petulant outbursts, blatant diving and cheating that chelsea utilised you fucktard. A talented team they may be, but how anyone can say "get over it" when we've been cheated out of a win by a referee who adds a quater of an hours stoppage time in a game, and a team determined to con the referee at any oppurtunity.

Excellent post mate, and I totally agree with the comment about messrs Terry, Lampard and Cole ruining international footy. I hope I can get something from the World Cup next year,
but, like you, I find it difficult to find any passion for an England team full of odious wankers.
I watched the Chelsea team warming up this afternoon and it was all so sort of slick and shiney - like they weren't really teamates in the true sense of the word and had just turned up for a Premier league football match before buggering off back to their mansions again.
I've got to work my bag off for the next 6 years to earn what most of them did this afternoon,
so "grace, integrity and dignity" don't really come into the equation my mate.

Chelsea would be the worst advert for English football - if they manage to cheat their way to the premiership title. I can't think of a club more repugnant from top to bottom.

I find it offensive that Cole, Terry and Lampard are in the England team.

It's called Premiership football.

A game played by overpaid tosspots who think they are God's gift to humanity and the sporting world.

Makes me wonder sometimes why I watch it.

Well guess what? I've never once complained when a team's beaten us with long ball football. I don't care whether a team plays long ball football, tippy-tappy football or whatever so long as they play it in the spirit intended. If you want to watch us become like Chelsea, then fine, that's your call. You want to advocate Chelsea's antics today, you want to support the gradual erosion of football as a sport then that's all up to you.

But I will never, ever stand by any club that behaves like that. Above everything else, football is a sport to be played by sportsmen in a certain spirit. I've complained about Lawrence, Fuller and Pericard all diving or being petulant before. It ruins the game.

Cole did catch the bottom of shawcross' boot to be fair, it wasn't a yellow card though as it was totally accidental, shawcross tried to block to ball and cole followed through and kicked the bottom of shawcross' boot, it probably was quite painful .

Agree mate.
Surrounding the ref confounds him and he starts to think he owes you something.
It's a tactic and it does Chelsea (like it does Man Utd) very well.
Put simply, it wins you games.
If a player gets in the face of a ref it should be an automatic yellow card.
John Terry is one of the biggest arseholes to walk this planet.
Hope they meet the same fate in the Champions League this season as last (and the season before). HA HA HA There is a God after all; and despite today I'm still laughing at that.

chelsea are a disgrace!. never before today have i seen so many players faining injury and generaly taking the piss out of the game of football. terry topped it off for me, he was rolling on the floor after a tackle and when realising he wasnt going to get anything in his favour stood streight back up!.......not a hobble, no pain!...and he had the audacity to complain about moving off the field of play for a few minuits. utter shambles!! it was obvious to everyone he was taking the piss!...just like the 20 or so other fake injurys chelsea had which miraculously dissapeared as soon as the ref gave the free kick. its no wander there was so mutch extra time!.

Very good post MD. Chelsea players seemed to dispute every decision that went against them today, and even the decisions that went in their favour saw them complaining to the ref to mete out further punishment to Stoke players. I for one hope that if The Mighty Potters manage to become an established Premier League team, we would never resort to such tactics. Crowd intimidation is one thing, but i'm proud that our players would not stoop to this level. Credit to the management for this i think. We may be a team of battling, ugly spoilers at the moment (with the odd bit of skill obviously ;)) , but we are definitely not a dirty side, and today i think the players showed massive restraint in the face of huge provocation. We lost the game today, and overall on the balance of play that was probably a fair result, but the Stoke City players can hold their heads high tonight. Sportsmen, every one of them.

Agreed. FIFA need to take a step back and look at the state of the game when this is how their top clubs behave. Barcelona and The Shit aren't innocent of it either. The game needs to wind itself backwards really, rid itself of all this cheating and bring back tackling.

Spot on sir, absolutely spot on.

Michael Ballack - jumped up and down infront of the linesmans face in the second half when he had a foul throw given against him. He was running when he threw the ball in.

No argument.

He did the same in the first half that went unpunished - right in front of me in the Seddon Stand.

They are an odious club with odious players. I would categorically hate to see my club turn into that circus.

Its not even about the result. I did'nt expect anything before the game, expected the same during the game and we got nowt at the end of the game. At the final whistle I felt nothing but cheated. Completely and utterly cheated that 100k+ a week superstars resorted to fouling, diving, cheating, surrounding and intimidating the referee, conning, asking for yellow cards, playing for free kicks, whining at every opportunity and blatantly refereeing the game from start to finish - all to beat little old Stoke City.

To top it off, and to really kick you in the balls and take the piss, at the final whistle they are all jumping around and whooping like they've won the World Cup.

>:(

What really riled me though, it did last year and no doubt any other year we're in the Premiership... every time one of their players got booked, one of ours did straight after. Coincidence?

The last home game I felt as sickened as this was Man Utd.

These top teams take the game beyond the parameters of competitive sport.

As for drogshit and his gob today, always on at the referee, for me its unsporting conduct and probably added 25% of the extra time we had to play.
