Right what do we reckon then. They've been beaten by southampton and are in poor form I'm going for a 2-0 stoke win line up: Bego Cameron Huth Ryan Shotton Walters Nzonzi Whelan Ethers Adam Crouch

Good shout mate. I just hope that we can keep their bad run of form going.
The line-up is spot on, that's the one we'll play with on Wednesday, for sure.

Unchanged. Management by numbers I said on another thread Pugs that when he said we play 3 games in a week so we will freshen it up i reckon he meant players off the bench? Injuries aside the same team will rightly or wrongly start all 3 games

Sounds like Pardew has layed into his 7 senior players has he described in an interview i've just heard so i'd expect them to be fired up for this game and they have Collicinni back from suspension as well. But i think an early goal for us would knock their confidence and hopefully we'd go on to score a couple more.

Looking back
First meeting in Prem - Shearer's 2nd game to save them out of 6 or maybe 8, I think?
We were much better than them first half and Faye (remember our outstanding player and his goal at the Stadium of highest bidder, call it what you want - what a come back - thanks Ric!) scored and shut em up
Second season
Should have been 3 nil up half time. Then, as usual, they came back second half and one A Carroll did what he used to do and score with a header and we were pinned back. Then went end to end and we walked away with a bit of a phew!
3rd season 4 - 0 First game after that semi final. Down to lose as we had the FA hangover. Still worried about being sucked in to relegation. Totally blew them away. What a performance and what a purple patch we went on - best I have seen, even including the 70's - we were that good
4th season - well it had to happen I guess. Why we booed Ba, I have no idea? - not his fault - totally down to us and still one big miss from us on all accounts - he would of fitted us like a glove. He then went on to prove that point with a great hat trick and showed us what we were/are missing - I still suspect the capped one got over ruled by that one and is still sore
Now
They have lost two key midfield players - played 1 more game than us and having the Euorpean hangover
Press them and we will win - sit back and reflect on what could of been with Ba and .......
If we are remotely trying for top 10 - then this game will be a good indicator

It won't be as easy as some make it out to be. Remember that we only scored one, yesterday, against a team without several important injured players. Even when fit and with Hengeland, Fulham had conceded an average of 2.5 goals per match, away from home, to date.
A few goals right now would count for much, with a number of teams on or around our goal difference.

It's going to be bastarding freezing and we're feeling a bit more confident after Saturday, they're feeling a little more brow beaten after today. Let's really stick the knife in Stoke ;D

Hope we're fired up for us. Massive opportunity to snag 6 points from two games - making us look very healthy. It's never straight forward though, is it.
I can see TP bringing Kites back into the team for Ethers.

3 points from this and we are virtually half way to that magical 40 with only 14 games gone, plus it gives us a bit if confidence going into a tough little set of fixtures.

Watched Southampton game. One thing I noticed - Newcastle couldn't defend corners at all BUT Southampton only put three or four in the box and there was so much space. When we get a corner there are so many in the box, so much pushing and shoving it's a lottery. With the heading capabilities we've got maybe we should occasionally just put our guys one on one.
Thought Newcastle were poor - but Southampton did attack them. We have great chance to beat them unless they improve considerably.

I don't think we will lose but I reckon it will be tougher game than the majority of fans seem to think it is. Also fancy Huth to get off the mark.. another 1-0 thriller

They are their for the taking. If Stoke do convert all those chances as per Fulham, then it will be a long journey back up the A1M to Tyneside for The Barcodes
Could easily be 3-0 to Stoke
