Im loving this fella, has a lovely turn inside when hes playing on the right.
Also great link up play with his winger when playing either left or right.
He was slightly dodgy first-half up against Hoilett so good decision to move him over to the left where he was really influential.
Just sort out your crossing mate!!
Hes improving every game and is becoming one of Tone's best signings

Been consistent and safe all season, and considering hes not a full back he deserves all the credit he gets

Yeah his take on the Ronaldo chop (the move I think you're on about) looked very good.
He looks to be very promising but he is not a fullback so I hope he can find a place in the middle of the park some time.

very steady player, lacks a bit of natural skill and control, but would like to see him in his natural position.

Hes obviously seen Wilsons fake on the other wing and figured he'll get himself a signature move

I reckon both Geoff and Wilko looked better 2nd half when they swapped. Wouldn't be surprised to see them line up next match like that.

Cameron's a bang on fullback. Not cut out in the middle I think but a cracking player nonetheless.

This bloke is fast becoming my favourite current Stoke player.
Why has no one snapped him up before? He's bloody brilliant! But thank God they didn't!

I think his passing and crossing are better than any full back or make shift full back we have.
Really like the guy

He's been a revelation, really. His positioning still isn't 100%, but his getting better and better every time he plays. I'd definitely keep him at left-back, he seems a genuinely two footed player.

His crossing is toss...... which makes it better than Wilko's!

I think, I hope, that long term the plan is still to have him in the middle in the line up that played Citeh(?). Top professional though, giving his all in completely alien positions and doing a bloody good job all things considered.

How was he so good?
During the first half he was woeful and was destroyed by Hoilett every time he got the ball.
He was so bad he had to be switched at half time and whilst he improved second half, he was nowhere near as good as Wilko was during the first half.
I just don't get the Cameron love in. I really don't. He is promising but he is nothing more than a stop gap. He isn't as good in midfield as Whelan, Adam or N'zonzi and he isn't as good a full-back as Wilko or Wilson.
I just don't get this at all. Maybe I am missing something.

Quite possibly! With the notable exception of N'zonzi, our summer signings, have once again been absolutely awful.

I think that's harsh, I think Cameron's done well considering the filling in he's had to do, statistics look great for him. So far Adam's proved me right about how overrated he was at Blackpool but hopefully he'll start to prove me and a few others wrong now that he's had a confidence boost. Ness and Edu in particular have been sublime.

He really has been brilliant - but there is a terrifying thought in the back of my mind.
What if he turns out to be another J. Walters? What if he has a great debut season, becomes an instant-starter (as well as 'being' another excuse for not signing a full-back) and falls short the following? I feel sorry for Walters being ridiculed, when he's giving his all every single game. I just pray that Cameron has got the genuine ability necessary for an evolving/aspiring club.

I think we're losing a bit of perspective here. Cam looks like he has good natural ability but the fact that he's not a full back keeps glinting through like the metal through a paint scratch on a dinged car. (I'm feeling poetic today.) (And yes, I'm a crap poet.) While I was watching the game, I found myself thinking (for about the ten millionth time since promotion) why the fuck can't we get a proper left back (by which my ultimate definition would be Ashley Cole with a personality transplant) rather than these big guys who don't have the speed of turn to handle a tricky winger. (I actually thought this remembering Huth being played at full back - just after he'd produced another piece of centre back magic yesterday - but it applied just as well to Cam.)
It's possible that Cam will really shine in whatever is his proper position but I think we should hold off proclaiming him as the second coming until he gets a proper chance to show us what he can really do. *
* I know, I know, that's assuming St Antony will ever give him the chance...

Looked clumsy and disconnected for most of the game. Sorry, but just I don't agree with all this praise for todays performance.

He's a Centre back who can be played as a defensive midfielder being played at right back so of course his defense against a very tricky winger is going to be questionable. On the ball though I think he looked very good and composed and I'm pretty sure a few run of games at CM would prove him to be better than Whelan.

I think you can excuse his (lack of) crossing ability when you consider how he's only ever played in the center of the pitch throughout his career.
He does, however, look a very talented footballer and has a bright future here..
Whether or not that's as a full back is yet to be seen.

Cameron having to drop in at full back early doors at Wigan was one of the best things that has happened this season.
