on SSN now
going through Manchester with a small gathering following the bus down a rather empty Deansgate
Maybe its because its raining ? Maybe because they are in the wrong city ? (should be Salford - not Manchester) Maybe because they are sore losers ? Maybe because the parade should've been inside the M25 even ?
Also amusing to see Berbatov glued to the front of the the bus by Ferguson
(Just like a tatty old teddy on the front of a bin lorry)
rather sad - rather forlorn - rather funny though

So if we had won the league and lost in the champions league final, there would be a poor turnout for the parade?

So if we had won the league and lost in the champions league final, there would be a poor turnout for the parade? Yes we stayed in the league for the 4th consecutive season and got to the FA cup final winning 5-0 in the semi and we couldnt even sell out the last game of the season to give the team the farewell they deserve ? we are small time

Really? We had our parade at 10am on a Monday morning, pissing it down and 2 days after we lost the European cup final, and we still had more than City. They won their first trophy in 35 years and their parade was on the night, they were buzzing, and the turn out for them was embarrassing. Didn't you lot take 300 to Man City?

Thats roughly the same number of Mancunians who go to united games. Were you at the parade today?

It's great how kstand and mufc feel the need to come onto our forums and defend themselves. Maybe they don't like Utd anymore cause they lost 3-1

Mufc, SSN would suggest otherwise, Man City's fans are 10X that of "United" in class and noise from what I've seen this season. PS. I'd love to see another club take thousands to Eastlands after the most expensive month in the clubs history in a difficult time. 400+ was more than I expected TBH.

Why does lower numbers suggest a team has less class? I would say class is the way fans go about doing things, no matter how many of them there are.

I would say class is the way fans go about doing things, no matter how many of them there are. Man City fans sing about Munich constantly at every game, they always brag about being the only team in Manchester even though they are and always will be in Man Utd's shadow. I was in the corporate section of Wembley for the cup final and I was in the Man City end, I constantly heard the 'we'll do what we want song', I know Stoke have their own rendition and have copied it to a certain extent but they just plain copied it, difference is it means something when Utd sing it because it is a pisstake of everyone saying they get all the decisions. Man City are far from class. Numbers can suggest this as well, they say they're the biggest club in the world and spout shit singing 'the city is blue' but they don't have the class to turn up to games unless it is something important. Just because you don't like Man Utd doesn't mean you have to downgrade them.

Just because you don't like Man Utd doesn't mean you have to downgrade them. We have our own fans who sing the Munich song as well don't forget. And I'm afraid I've never seen less class from a team after we lost 4-0 at OT. They couldn't handle the banter and instead resorted to attacking helpless families and elder fans after the game (ask Lakeland). They are the scum of the earth and their fans around here (North Staffs Branch ffs) make me feel sick. I met quite a few top Man City fans in and around London before and after the final, their was no bragging just mutual respect and they went up a lot in my estimations. I'm not a big fan of either clubs, I just have a lot more respect for Man City and feel they have shown a lot more class in recent times than their red counterparts. I see where your coming from but I just have to disagree Donkey.

Cloud cuckoo land. Are people criticising Manchester United's support for real?
In my experience Liverpool have slightly better numbers away, but there's not much in it. They are seriously well supported.
Stokies saying Man United have got shit support is fucking ridiculous.
