Not sure at all about Mackie's quality but it would be beneficial I guess to get rid of Crouch. Its clearly not working.

Don't want either at the club, one's ill suited to us, the other is just wank and is another Walters.

Do it
Mackie would suit the system far more than Crouch ever has/will

Thanks for the name check - far more shocking than the story itself is the fact I got to it before you!! I guess it was not obscure enough - if we had been scouting an Israeli under-21 striker who played in the German third division, you'd have been nailed on!!

1. We would get rid of Crouch's wage.
2. We would get rid of a player who doesn't really suit us.
3. We would get a player who does suit us.
4. We would get the perfect replacement for Walters.
Sign the papers?
EDIT: 4. If Walters needs a "rest", which is unlikely I know.
EDIT: 5. We could now keep Jones and bring in Bent?

I'd rather take cash to be honest. We've already got a good collection of one-paced players with limited ability!

Quite surprised 'Arry's so keen to get rid - muck and bullets, run all day types like Mackie are, if anything, just the kind he needs at the moment. It's the Bosingwas and Hoiletts that have got them into this mess.

Desperate men doing desperate things, our transfer policy hasn't and never has had a inkling of strategic thinking to it and in any business thats a disaster , stop it now Mr Chairman and think again over the next few games about the long term .

It does seem to say, before the story gets blurry, that Mackie isn't keen on moving up north

These swaps never happen. They're both shite though, and it would mean we'd paid £10M for Jamie Mackie, which would be the most hilarious piece of transfer business in history.

Both striker moves point to a reduction in wages. KJ and Crouch will be on way more than Mackie and Graham. I wonder if we have overspent!?

Pulis would never sell or swap Peter Crouch ....and Arry The Backander wouldn't sign him. He knew when he sold him that it was the best £ 10 million transfer he'd ever pulled off....

Mackies could be a decent player for us, wouldnt be a bad swap if QPR chucked in a few million for Crouch, doubt he'd even pull £5m currently though.

Whatever way you look at it, we got royally fucked on the Crouch deal. If Mackie brings more to the table (which is debatable) then it's certainly worth considering.

It could be a good move for all party's, if we get money thrown in the deal as well. Admittedly I haven't seen to much of Mackie but it seems as if he a more Stoke type of player.
Crouch will be happy to work with Harry again QPR will happy to get a good player if used correctly Stoke will be happy....we offload the player who broke our system and get one who could become useful in our squad + money.
