Tony Pulis wears a suit for interviews and tracksuit and cap for the game... what's up with that? He is the finest chav to come from NewportThere's a term getting more and more use; "negative football" Is there such a thing and isn't it just a different way of winning? Yes, and yes. What everybody calls 'negative football' is fine providing the results are coming, however there is nothing worse than going to places like Wigan and getting turned over because of itShould Crouch go to the Euros? Yes, simple as. If Pundits and media are calling for Crouch to go, despite being a Stoke player, then he's doing something right. As football fans, how do you react to complaints about changing your pitch size between Premier League and Europa games? Do your homework, we've had the same size pitch, which I must add is legal, in the Prem since we came up. Everton have the same size pitch and nobody moans, but they do just because it's SToke. In Europa the rules are slightly different and we had to make the pitch bigger to follow the regulations.Ryan Shotton seems to be getting more and more games, and Delap less and less. Is there more to his game than simply being a replacement Trebuchet? Yes, once again, do your homework. Shotton and Delap play different positions. Also have a look at Opta stats, Shotton is often one of our most influential players(which is taken from successful tackles, interceptions, passes and attack)These questions may seem to have Stoke labelled a one-dimensional side: 'Long ball, big men in box, scrap for a goal' from the Sam Allardyce school, but this a consensus opinion from other fans. Is this opinion fair or media bullshit? It's how it's phrased, we do lump it to the big man a lot, and rely on set pieces and big men. Why is this a bad thing though? It's effective a lot of the time, just like Swansea's style is for them for example. How much of this season is down to the management team and how much is it due to the players? What do you mean? Are you saying we are having a bad season? Hardly, mid-table with a european adventure under our belt. Don't forget before the beginning of the season your fans would have settled for this. What's a realistic aim for Stoke next season? Where do Stoke need to strengthen to achieve this? Mid-table and a cup run again, realistic aim. We need a left back, a left winger and a new striker to go alongside CrouchWho has been your player of the season? Shawcross, he's a rockWhat has been your biggest frustration this season (can be performances, players, opposition, media, fans, anything)? Surrendering some away games, I'm not saying we should be winning every away games, but the way we lost to Swansea, Bolton, Wigan and Sunderland away is extremely disappointingWhich managers have impressed you this season? Well for some reason Di Matteo has done well so farWhich Premier League Players have stood out? Scholes, he is still solid and an important player for Man UnitdWhich are your danger men that we should be looking out for? Crouch and Pennant, double up on them and you'll be fineWhich Newcastle players are you worried about? Cisse obviouslyWhich have been your 2 stand out games this season? (One involving Stoke, one without) Besiktas away, we lost 3-1 after Upson being sent off for GBH, but the best day of my footballing life by a distance. I enjoyed the Chelsea 4-1 Napoli game, found myself supporting Chelsea. Which fans have impressed you the most/least? Besiktas again, their fans are mental. The worst are probably Bolton fans, they barely made a peep despite hammering usWhat do you predict the score to be? 2-0 to Newcastle, both teams will be poor, you have the pressure, but we'll just 'do a Stoke' and gift the points.Read more: oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Potters&action=display&thread=190774#ixzz1sPeCaKFU

Tony Pulis wears a suit for interviews and tracksuit and cap for the game... what's up with that? Superstition i think, he's a bit weird about itThere's a term getting more and more use; "negative football" Is there such a thing and isn't it just a different way of winning? Yes, but i'd call "Negative football" unattacking football. And it's served Swansea alright!Should Crouch go to the Euros? Yes. Better option than that muppet you got £35 million for. Good in the air and with the feet. He's been excellent this seasonAs football fans, how do you react to complaints about changing your pitch size between Premier League and Europa games? I think anyone who complains about such things needs to get a life to be honest!Ryan Shotton seems to be getting more and more games, and Delap less and less. Is there more to his game than simply being a replacement Trebuchet? Absolutley. He's developing into a very good Prem Right BackThese questions may seem to have Stoke labelled a one-dimensional side: 'Long ball, big men in box, scrap for a goal' from the Sam Allardyce school, but this a consensus opinion from other fans. Is this opinion fair or media bullshit? Fair this season more than most, but we can still play when the right players are on the pitchHow much of this season is down to the management team and how much is it due to the players? Pulis will always have to take a large part of the blame for when things don't go right. Some of his selections and decisions this season have impacted negatively on the team - so mostly the management! What's a realistic aim for Stoke next season? Where do Stoke need to strengthen to achieve this? Another tilt at the top half and a cup run. To strengthen, we need proper fullbacks, cover for the wings and some creativity in the middle - and i wouldn't say no to a striker! (That Ba lad will do!)Who has been your player of the season? Ryan Shawcross. The lad has been fantastic, defensively one of the best players in the countryWhat has been your biggest frustration this season (can be performances, players, opposition, media, fans, anything)? The fact that our fans' expectations have grown, and the atmosphere has dwindled at the Brit. This and some poor performances, many players not finding fitness/form, and getting hammered at BoltonWhich managers have impressed you this season? Pardew, Lambert and Rodgers should be the contenders for manager of the year (With Pardew the winner)Which Premier League Players have stood out? Van Persie has been by far and away the best in the leagueWhich are your danger men that we should be looking out for? Crouch. Fuller if he starts and Big Robert Huth arriving in the box at a set piece!Which Newcastle players are you worried about? Cisse, Ba, Ben Arfa, Cabaye....oh dear, it's gonna be a massacreWhich have been your 2 stand out games this season? (One involving Stoke, one without) With Stoke: 1-1 vs Man City at home...Crouch's wonderstrike, a sensational atmosphere and making Mancini and Co look like little boys lost - Without: Barca cracking 7 past Leverkusen was wonderfulWhich fans have impressed you the most/least? Most: Besiktas and Hajduk Split in Europe. Walls of noise and true passion not seen often in England. Least: Liverpool for their pig-headed delusion and idiocy after Suarezgate, Chelsea for their treatment of the Hillsborough minutes silence and Wolves for turning on the man who would've kept them upWhat do you predict the score to be? Same as the Brit - Newcastle 3 Stoke 1 with an all too predictable Ba hattrick rubbing salt into the wound

Mark the touchlines mid way in your half and that is our threat null and void. You dont need defenders infornt of your goal in open play, just from set-pieces, if you don't give us set pieces you win by default.

Tony Pulis wears a suit for interviews and tracksuit and cap for the game... what's up with that? He's Tony Pulis he wears what he wants . There's a term getting more and more use; "negative football" Is there such a thing and isn't it just a different way of winning? Yeah there is. When results go your way it isn't an issue as you're providing the evidence to back up the football however, when you see your team play against the likes of Wigan and Aston Villa and play very negative and make no attempt to win a game against. going by the table, less opposition it is frustrating. Should Crouch go to the Euros? 100% yes. He got a lot of attention because of the goal but his link up play, control, heading ability and ability on the floor is brilliant and with his experience and goals for England he should be on the plane. As football fans, how do you react to complaints about changing your pitch size between Premier League and Europa games? I honestly don't care. Both the Premier League and Europa League have different pitch sizes and as long as it is in them sizes it is fair. Arsenal play to a big pitch to suit their game so why shouldn't we? Ryan Shotton seems to be getting more and more games, and Delap less and less. Is there more to his game than simply being a replacement Trebuchet? People may disagree but i honestly think he is hopeless as a right midfielder and offers us nothing. Defensively he is okay but needs time and experience to improve. I wouldn't play him or Delap personally. These questions may seem to have Stoke labelled a one-dimensional side: 'Long ball, big men in box, scrap for a goal' from the Sam Allardyce school, but this a consensus opinion from other fans. Is this opinion fair or media bullshit? I think the view has some validity about it at times when we can be horrifying to watch for Stoke fans let alone away fans. However, i feel other times the media try and portray us in a negative light when it isn't justified. Last year we played some excellent football beating you guys 4-0, Wolves 3-0, Arsenal 3-1 and Bolton 5-0 but yet people still didn't give us the credit we deserved. How much of this season is down to the management team and how much is it due to the players? At times TP can actually hinder us. For example trying to play Huth out of position or not play Pennant but often his tactics will be spot on and will get us points. Players like Crouch do deserve credit for getting us points though when we have been poor so it is a balance i believe. As for Pardew he deserves 100% credit for your season and my manager of the season. The players have responded to his tactics and played for him so he deserves significant praise. What's a realistic aim for Stoke next season? Where do Stoke need to strengthen to achieve this? Top half and decent cup runs would be nice. With no Europa League nobody can use that is an excuse. I feel we need another midfielder to play with a fit Palacios and wingers to surely replace Pennant. Who has been your player of the season? Shawcross nobody else really stands out bar Crouch What has been your biggest frustration this season (can be performances, players, opposition, media, fans, anything)? Honestly, we were told many of times by TP we had a three year plan and would expand from after the first three seasons however, this season we seemed to have gone backwards in terms of attacking football and intent in games. Still have 100% support in Pulis though. Which managers have impressed you this season? Like i said Pardew has been magnificent. People will go on about Rogers of course but i feel Lambert has had the weaker team and done a better job. Which Premier League Players have stood out? Cabaye. I'm a very big fan of the guy and i believe he is the reason for the performances of Demba Ba and Cisse. Which are your danger men that we should be looking out for? Crouch or Huth from a set piece. Which Newcastle players are you worried about? Demba Ba. He hasn't scored for 5 or 6 games? He is 100% going to score against us, no doubts. Which have been your 2 stand out games this season? (One involving Stoke, one without) Stoke vs Man City. Not just for Crouch's goal but we had a real go at them and played the better football and with ten minutes left you'd have expected Stoke to be defending for their lives but we looked the more likely and could have won. The North London derby with Arsenal coming back from two nil down was brilliant. Which fans have impressed you the most/least? Least is easy Wolves. Fighting for their lives and an hour down the road and about 200 turned up, pathetic. For most i would say Beskitas in the Europa League. You could hear them an hour before kick off 20 minutes away from the ground and there wasn't even many of them. What do you predict the score to be? 3-0 Newcastle Ba, Cisse and Ben Arfa Good luck and i really hope you take a Champions League spot.

Tone regards his cap and tracksuit as his 'work clothes'. If a bloke looking like Pulis wearing a suit appears then be careful because it probably isn't Tony. He has an evil twin called Terry who sometimes tries to infiltrate our training sessions and scouting missions in order to Hispanicise them. Tone is out in Spain right now (pretending to scout players himself ) trying to kill him off once and for all. Tone used to talk about 'a three year plan' in lots of his interviews but he was often very secretive about what this plan involved and what was to follow. The secret was Terry. At the end of the three year plan Tone would symbolically slay Terry and his tippy-tappy ways, thus allowing us Stokies to 'push on'. Unfortunately Terry managed to escape. Terry was covertly working as director of football at Wigan at the beginning of the season but he returned to thwart Tony's plans around November. You may recall it was around this time that Tone was caught speeding in his BMW... coincidence? I think not. No doubt he was innocently fleeing from Terry there. This is what most Stoke fans don't understand. The reason we haven't 'pushed on'... the reason for Palacios's fitness problems... Etherington's form ... our inability to sign a left-back ... all are just strategies Terry is orchestrating in his campaign of hooficide. In responding to these threats Tony has had to play more and more negative football. More square pegs in round holes. More long balls from the back. A higher percentage of goals from set-pieces. Only such methods can genuinely combat Terry. As soon as Jonathan Walters is dropped, Pulis knows it will hand the initiative to Terry. He has to persist for as long as possible with this mechanistic philosophy until the spirit of Terry is finally vanquished and Stoke City Football Club can finally push on. For the other questions, I would generally agree with the posters above on most points.

Tony Pulis wears a suit for interviews and tracksuit and cap for the game... what's up with that? It never ceases to amaze me when I see managers getting soaking wet in their smart suits! Sensible Tone!! There's a term getting more and more use; "negative football" Is there such a thing and isn't it just a different way of winning? Cautious is the word I would use Should Crouch go to the Euros? Yes As football fans, how do you react to complaints about changing your pitch size between Premier League and Europa games? Chelsea's pitch is too small for Euro football, but they don't have room to move and, guess what, they get away with it. Ryan Shotton seems to be getting more and more games, and Delap less and less. Is there more to his game than simply being a replacement Trebuchet? Shotton has been used to cover injuries at RB / provide some protection. Some games we have both on the pitch...nowt to do with throw ins These questions may seem to have Stoke labelled a one-dimensional side: 'Long ball, big men in box, scrap for a goal' from the Sam Allardyce school, but this a consensus opinion from other fans. Is this opinion fair or media bullshit? Mainly bullshit and lazy journalism. Pulis has a theory that you don't score goals in your own half...guess what, he's right How much of this season is down to the management team and how much is it due to the players? One big team What's a realistic aim for Stoke next season? Where do Stoke need to strengthen to achieve this? Top 10. As players get older they need replacing and every season the competition gets tougher, so every team has to strengthen Who has been your player of the season? Dean Whitehead What has been your biggest frustration this season (can be performances, players, opposition, media, fans, anything)? Lazy journos, cheating foreign players, weak referees and too many poor away performances Which managers have impressed you this season? None especially. You want me to say Pardew but he's such a miserable git in his interviews...done well though Which Premier League Players have stood out? van Persie Which are your danger men that we should be looking out for? I wouldn't worry too much Which Newcastle players are you worried about? Ba 'cos he likes scoring against us...his knee IS dodgy and will give out...one day Which have been your 2 stand out games this season? (One involving Stoke, one without) Man City at home including THAT goal, don't tend to watch if it aint Stoke Which fans have impressed you the most/least? Most - Swansea. least Liverpool What do you predict the score to be? not 0-0 Read more: oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Potters&action=display&thread=190774#ixzz1sPz2CJy4

Tony Pulis wears a suit for interviews and tracksuit and cap for the game... what's up with that?
It's one thing that doesn't annoy me about our manager. He's a hands on bloke and I think any manager worth his salt should be in a tracky and not in a suit like a business man.
There's a term getting more and more use; "negative football" Is there such a thing and isn't it just a different way of winning?
Yes and I think we can play that way at times when Pulis doesn't employ both our wingers. But I also think we get bad press when we don't deserve it
Should Crouch go to the Euros?
Definitely. England don't have another striker in his mould in the form he is in at the moment.
As football fans, how do you react to complaints about changing your pitch size between Premier League and Europa games?
I haven't heard any complaints.
Ryan Shotton seems to be getting more and more games, and Delap less and less. Is there more to his game than simply being a replacement Trebuchet?
I think he is an alright player, but I definitely think he is being used more for his throw than his actual ability on the field.
These questions may seem to have Stoke labelled a one-dimensional side: 'Long ball, big men in box, scrap for a goal' from the Sam Allardyce school, but this a consensus opinion from other fans. Is this opinion fair or media bullshit?
I think that is how our manager sets us up. We are always dangerous with set pieces. I do however think we can play some good football and have at times, but not enough for me. I think there is room for a good balance of hard direct football coupled with some skill, pace and trickery. Hopefully TP will try and address that, but I won't hold my breath.
How much of this season is down to the management team and how much is it due to the players?
Some of the shocking defensive set-ups TP put out earlier on in the season were ridiculousand we suffered for it. I also think he is scared of certain teams away from home and tends to look at them as bonus matches and doesn't reallt set the team up to win, rather try and park the bus and sneak a draw. I also think that the players have let him down in some matches this year.
What's a realistic aim for Stoke next season? Where do Stoke need to strengthen to achieve this?
Top ten finish, another good cup run. We need a couple of fullbacks, at least one winger for cover and at least one pacy midfielder who can pass to feet, hold the ball up with when needs be and tackle properly.
Who has been your player of the season?
Huth
What has been your biggest frustration this season (can be performances, players, opposition, media, fans, anything)?
Our manager surrendering in Valencia.
Which managers have impressed you this season?
Lambert , Rodgers, Moyes, Pardew
Which Premier League Players have stood out?
Sessegnon, Vorm, Aguero, Dempsey, Tiote
Which are your danger men that we should be looking out for?
Pennant, Crouch, Etherington, Huth
Which Newcastle players are you worried about?
Cisse, Ba, Tiote, Cabaye, Ben Arfa
Which have been your 2 stand out games this season? (One involving Stoke, one without)
Stoke v Man City. Man City 7 Manure 2
Which fans have impressed you the most/least?
Most-Besiktas Least-Chelsea+The Victims
What do you predict the score to be?
Newcastle 3 Stoke 1

Or put another way Dave,in answer to your questions .... Get the feck of our site and piss of back to the black plimsol Stadium ;D You do realise my "friend " that some Stokie , with more time than me will be adjusting the questions to put a Newcastle slant on them. Asking you questions long the lines of ..... Why do you consider youself a Big club when you've won even less than us in the last 40 years ?
When exactly did Pardew turn from a cockney mafia wanker and become the New messiah ?
How many "new messiah's" is it ,that Newcastle have actually had now?
Quote " Football is a religion up here " ...discuss ? , no actually put a sock in it because we,re bored of hearing it , and tired of laughing at it !
Any tips we can give you to help you avoid looking like Muppets in Europe next season ?
Who the feck let Ba insert a £7M clause to leave at the end of the season ?How come Faye loved playing for Stoke and couldn't give a shite about the so called great Newcastle fans
Why is Pardew a whinging ,better dressed version of Neil Warnock ?Why if Stokies hate Mackems , do you still want them to beat Newcastle when we play them ?I could go on but I can't be asked ,and only meant to be pulling your chain mate so don't take offence ;D

Tony Pulis wears a suit for interviews and tracksuit and cap for the game... what's up with that? Nothing, I like tracksuit managers. I don't get suits on the touchline? Would you wear a tracksuit to an office job? There's a term getting more and more use; "negative football" Is there such a thing and isn't it just a different way of winning? Negative football is term used by people who have just been beaten by us. Never gets used when we lose. Go figure. Should Crouch go to the Euros? 100% It would be borderline mental not to take him given the alternatives. He should go anyway, his record and experience as well as current form make him (or should) an automatic pick. As football fans, how do you react to complaints about changing your pitch size between Premier League and Europa games? I think people who moan are ill informed. We choose the dimensions but suddenly some prat from UEFA decides it should all be uniform. Who was it who came up with game we call football again? Ryan Shotton seems to be getting more and more games, and Delap less and less. Is there more to his game than simply being a replacement Trebuchet? If you looked at how often we score from long throws nowadays you'd realise that it isn't that much of an issue. These questions may seem to have Stoke labelled a one-dimensional side: 'Long ball, big men in box, scrap for a goal' from the Sam Allardyce school, but this a consensus opinion from other fans. Is this opinion fair or media bullshit? As I said, it depends if we win or lose. A lot of new age fans don't like tackling either. They should stick to netball. How much of this season is down to the management team and how much is it due to the players? Our season is far from over and given how many games we've played in the Europa and in getting to the Q/F's of the FA Cup, a possible top half finish would be pretty impressive. We have looked leggy in games but you'd expect that. What's a realistic aim for Stoke next season? Where do Stoke need to strengthen to achieve this? Keep progressing step by step again. We are a well run club who know there place but have ambitions. Our cup run last year suggests we could try and win one of the cups without the distraction of Europe but its not quite as easy as that as your lot know. Who has been your player of the season? Ryan Shawcross, the best young defender in England by a country mile. What has been your biggest frustration this season (can be performances, players, opposition, media, fans, anything)? We haven't had adequate cover in some key areas. Some of that is down to long standing issues, some of it down to an unprecedented amount of fixtures. Which managers have impressed you this season? Paul Lambert Which Premier League Players have stood out? Aguero, great debut season. Which are your danger men that we should be looking out for? Crouch but you won't need to look out for him. If Fuller plays Collicini will have to look out again though! Which Newcastle players are you worried about? The front two. Ba is bound to score given how we decided against signing him. Which have been your 2 stand out games this season? (One involving Stoke, one without) Away at Valencia. Truly unforgettable day despite the result. Never really get into other games but the Madrid/Barca game earlier this year was excellent. Which fans have impressed you the most/least? Nobody really impressed that much. Hadjuk Split were fairly mental though. Worst possibly Man City given how there season is going. What do you predict the score to be? 0-0

There's a term getting more and more use; "negative football" Is there such a thing and isn't it just a different way of winning? No such thing, don't understand how you can measure football in a negative/positive way. Different styles of course. Should Crouch go to the Euros?Seems biased now he's at Stoke, but I've always rated him for England. Yes As football fans, how do you react to complaints about changing your pitch size between Premier League and Europa games?Quite funny, doesn't bother me in the slightest and I doubt many others. Ryan Shotton seems to be getting more and more games, and Delap less and less. Is there more to his game than simply being a replacement Trebuchet? He's a versatile young lad that needs the experience, his throw is good but its not as powerful as Rory's so he wouldn't be playing solely for that reason. These questions may seem to have Stoke labelled a one-dimensional side: 'Long ball, big men in box, scrap for a goal' from the Sam Allardyce school, but this a consensus opinion from other fans. Is this opinion fair or media bullshit?Half and half, its impossible to say that we don't do this, but the media would have you believe that is all we do. How much of this season is down to the management team and how much is it due to the players?50/50 Players working their bollocks of and done well with balancing the team over so many games. What's a realistic aim for Stoke next season? Where do Stoke need to strengthen to achieve this?Top 10 and europe would be lovely, but top 10 I think is reasonable. Who has been your player of the season?Huth <3 What has been your biggest frustration this season (can be performances, players, opposition, media, fans, anything)? The whole Woodgate saga, playing others out of position, leaving them out of he squad etc. Which managers have impressed you this season?Tony Pulis Pardew O'Neill RDM (Debatable) Which Premier League Players have stood out?I like Kightly, Moses and obviously RVP has hand a blinding season, shame he's a cunt. Which are your danger men that we should be looking out for?Diao Which Newcastle players are you worried about?Ameobi Which have been your 2 stand out games this season? (One involving Stoke, one without)Loved watching Wigan stuff Man U Gotta be Stoke Valencia Which fans have impressed you the most/least?Nothing much different apart from the europa league. What do you predict the score to be?1-1

Tony Pulis wears a suit for interviews and tracksuit and cap for the game... what's up with that? he's quite active on the sidelines so wears suitable clothing and wants to look smart in interviews i guess. There's a term getting more and more use; "negative football" Is there such a thing and isn't it just a different way of winning? just another way of winning. there is no 'right way' of playing football. as long as it is within the rules. i have also noticed that many teams this season have adopted the long throw from us yet people still bash us for it. people also still are under the impression that we rely on the throws but somehow fail to realise delap has hardly played in the latter part of this season and shottons throws dont work (and thats when he plays). Should Crouch go to the Euros? yes. scored 22 in 42 and has been proven it's not just against the weak teams. As football fans, how do you react to complaints about changing your pitch size between Premier League and Europa games? we dont. its within the bloody rules. its just people making excuses because they can't beat 'little old stoke' and we dont roll over for them (at home anyway). Ryan Shotton seems to be getting more and more games, and Delap less and less. Is there more to his game than simply being a replacement Trebuchet? already said. he has played uite a bit but not loads of games. i think he was only playing because of pennants fall-out with pulis. his throws dont work anyway unless we're playing in europe. These questions may seem to have Stoke labelled a one-dimensional side: 'Long ball, big men in box, scrap for a goal' from the Sam Allardyce school, but this a consensus opinion from other fans. Is this opinion fair or media bullshit? a bit of both. media have over-hyped it, meaning that teams label us as this without even seeing us play. we do play some good football at times and long ball when we need to. people dont like it but there is nothing in the rules against the way we play. what the media dont realise is that what they have created spurs our players on and gives them something to fight for. How much of this season is down to the management team and how much is it due to the players? dont know.. 50/50 i guess. What's a realistic aim for Stoke next season? Where do Stoke need to strengthen to achieve this? i think we could sign defoe with his links with crouch, palacios, woodgate etc. he would be a brilliant addition to the squad. i hope next season for a top half finish and a good cup run. we need a midfield playmaker. Who has been your player of the season? huth What has been your biggest frustration this season (can be performances, players, opposition, media, fans, anything)? pulis' team selections early on. huth at right back, pennant dropped etc Which managers have impressed you this season? Roberto martinez Which Premier League Players have stood out? van persie, papiss cisse etc Which are your danger men that we should be looking out for? wingers are our main attecking threat pennant and etherington. crouchy for obvious reasons. fuller if he comes on. jerome fir his pace. huth from set pieces. Which Newcastle players are you worried about? errrrmmm. probably cisse. Which have been your 2 stand out games this season? (One involving Stoke, one without) vs man city at home tha atmosphere was electric. havn't really got one for another team. Which fans have impressed you the most/least? none have really impressed me. fulham fans are crap. What do you predict the score to be? 1-1

Tony Pulis wears a suit for interviews and tracksuit and cap for the game... what's up with that? Because he is a low life chav[/b
]There's a term getting more and more use; "negative football" Is there such a thing and isn't it just a different way of winning? A term used by thick ex players (quell suprise) and lazy journalists (Quell suprise)
Should Crouch go to the Euros? Who is the alternative
As football fans, how do you react to complaints about changing your pitch size between Premier League and Europa games? We're stoke city we'll do what we want (live with it and move on)
Ryan Shotton seems to be getting more and more games, and Delap less and less. Is there more to his game than simply being a replacement Trebuchet? One is starting his career and one is finishing
These questions may seem to have Stoke labelled a one-dimensional side: 'Long ball, big men in box, scrap for a goal' from the Sam Allardyce school, but this a consensus opinion from other fans. Is this opinion fair or media bullshit? It was very fair but also very effective, this year the "manager" seems to have been found out
How much of this season is down to the management team and how much is it due to the players? 30% the fans, 5% the players, 20% the management (the bad bits) & 45% referees
What's a realistic aim for Stoke next season? Where do Stoke need to strengthen to achieve this?
Top half and a cup A new manager and scouting network
Who has been your player of the season? It might have been Pennant if he had played, Probably Huth or the much underated Whitehead
What has been your biggest frustration this season (can be performances, players, opposition, media, fans, anything)?
Playing the B team in Valencia after 6000 plus stokies had travelled.
Which managers have impressed you this season? Pardew, Mick Mcarthy ( a gentleman to the end) worst managers Wenger and King Kenny NO CLASS
Which Premier League Players have stood out?
Scott Sinclair shagging Rosie Webster and still has the strength to play
Which are your danger men that we should be looking out for? Mable the kit woman and pulis (at least in the shower)
Which Newcastle players are you worried about? Ba, sods law isn't it
Which have been your 2 stand out games this season? (One involving Stoke, one without) Stoke vs Man city, sorry cant think of one without
Which fans have impressed you the most/least? Impressed by the european fans, either freindliness or passion Least, plastic prem league fans
What do you predict the score to be?
Bloody hell it could be anything, ' 1'll go for 0-0

Tony Pulis wears a suit for interviews and tracksuit and cap for the game... what's up with that?
Its when he’s wearing his head butting towel you have to watch out
There's a term getting more and more use; "negative football" Is there such a thing and isn't it just a different way of winning?
If Winning isn't everything, why do they Keep the Score?
Should Crouch go to the Euros?
Without a shadow of a doubt
As football fans, how do you react to complaints about changing your pitch size between Premier League and Europa games?
People who complain clearly don’t know the rules and don’t know that several other teams here and on the continent have also engaged in this practice
Ryan Shotton seems to be getting more and more games, and Delap less and less. Is there more to his game than simply being a replacement Trebuchet?
Delap is fading fast sadly, he could still have a cameo role next season though. Shotton is a full back and I have no problem with him playing there, On the wing he’s useless.
These questions may seem to have Stoke labelled a one-dimensional side: 'Long ball, big men in box, scrap for a goal' from the Sam Allardyce school, but this a consensus opinion from other fans. Is this opinion fair or media bullshit?
When it’s bad its pretty bad, when it’d good (this time last year and a few occasions this season) we are a right handful and its exhilarating to watch.
How much of this season is down to the management team and how much is it due to the players?
They are one
What's a realistic aim for Stoke next season? Where do Stoke need to strengthen to achieve this?
Top half, good cup run. We need a left back but we’ve needed one for about 10 years
Who has been your player of the season?
Shawcross. Simply a colossuses
What has been your biggest frustration this season (can be performances, players, opposition, media, fans, anything)?
We remain timid and lifeless away against the bigger teams. The white flag goes up before we’ve got on the pitch most of the time
Which managers have impressed you this season?
Pardew the most to be fair. Lambert and Rogers have done very well but both are in danger of winning the Phil Brown memorial ‘believing their own hype’ trophy
Which Premier League Players have stood out?
Again can’t look too far away from your mob. Ba/Cisse/Cabaye. Elsewhere Sigurdsson of Swansea.
Which are your danger men that we should be looking out for?
Pennant if selected. Huth/Shawcross from set pieces. Crouch if Penant plays
Which Newcastle players are you worried about?
All of them. I’ve been waiting for the bubble to burst but it hasn’t, you’re a good side. Perhaps your centre halves can be got at.
Which have been your 2 stand out games this season? (One involving Stoke, one without)
Stoke V Man City. That goal, that atmosphere, pure electric.
Those early hammerings were fun (Man you V Arsenal Man City V Man Utd)
Which fans have impressed you the most/least?
Norwich came in numbers and were chippy. Extremely deluded mind. They think they are Holland circa 1974
What do you predict the score to be?
Head - A routine 2-0 to you Heart – A Classic 0-1 Stoke away performance a la Everton.

Without reading any other responses.... Tony Pulis wears a suit for interviews and tracksuit and cap for the game... what's up with that? Because an interview is a fairly formal indoor setting. A football match takes place on a sports field. I think he dresses appropriately. There's a term getting more and more use; "negative football" Is there such a thing and isn't it just a different way of winning? Yes and yes. Although sometimes it's just a different way of drawing. Should Crouch go to the Euros? Yes because he offers something different. As football fans, how do you react to complaints about changing your pitch size between Premier League and Europa games? "Complaints"? What would people be "complaining" about? ??? Ryan Shotton seems to be getting more and more games, and Delap less and less. Is there more to his game than simply being a replacement Trebuchet? Not really. These questions may seem to have Stoke labelled a one-dimensional side: 'Long ball, big men in box, scrap for a goal' from the Sam Allardyce school, but this a consensus opinion from other fans. Is this opinion fair or media bullshit? The comparison with Allardyce is insulting. We are way scrappier and longer of ball. How much of this season is down to the management team and how much is it due to the players? 50/50 What's a realistic aim for Stoke next season? Where do Stoke need to strengthen to achieve this? Top half. Wingers, full backs and CMs. Who has been your player of the season? Shawcross What has been your biggest frustration this season (can be performances, players, opposition, media, fans, anything)? TP taking the stiffs to Valencia after imploring everyone to save up and get out there. Which managers have impressed you this season? Pardew, Adkins. Got to like Martinez. Which Premier League Players have stood out? Scholes, Moses, Assou-Ekoto, Ox-Chambo... Which are your danger men that we should be looking out for? Pennant and Crouch Which Newcastle players are you worried about? I'd rather not answer that. Which have been your 2 stand out games this season? (One involving Stoke, one without) Valencia-Stoke. Really enjoyed the Arsenal Man City game the other day. Which fans have impressed you the most/least? n/a What do you predict the score to be? An ambitious 1-1.

Alright lads, Cheers for all the replies, I've put a selection of the answers up on www.toontastic.net in the stickied "Gone Fishing" thread. I'm at work so the knackered old internet explorer has buggered the formatting. I've tried to get a decent mix of responses so once again, cheers and good luck for the final few games (after Saturday)
