Josip Skoko is another from that season, I liked him too. I liked Skoko too, scored a cracker against Crystal Palace I think? Petur Marteinsson was someone who deserved far more game time than he got I thought. Good player.

Paul Connor.... if I remember rightly didnt he score a hat-trick against Brighton on the last day of the season?!? (about 10 / 11 years ago?) or have I dreamt that one? Sam Aiston / Matthew Bullock / Ben Petty / Tony Dinning to name a couple of others

Richard Johnson. Seem to remember he formed quite a useful partnership with Eustace but then again my mind may be playing tricks

David Xausa. The only league player whose name began with an X? Made his debut from nowhere against Bury away under Kamara, the day after we signed Lightbulb. Went on to do well in Scotland with Livingston. Canadian international.
Mark Williams. Thighs like tree trunks. Went out with Leilani. Sat behind her at Coventry.

Peter Kopteff.... ;D Aka JESUS
He really was dog shit!
I really liked Junior though. Wonder where he is now? Wasnt he on loan from Anderlecht where they thought he was the next Makelele?
Then we tried to sign that Goran Lovre, and the twat turned us down cause and said he would just be looking up and seeing the ball fly over his head ;D ;D

That's it, away at Brighton.... www.stokecityfc.com/page/MatchReport/0,,10310~29255,00.html A performance which offered hope for the future - demonstrating a talented crop of youngsters ready and waiting to fire City to success next season. Roll on August… ;D

Also, does anybody remember when TP refused to sign Peter Kopteff after having him on trial? There was an Icelandic bloke on here who was absolutely furious that we'd failed to take on the Finnish U-21s superstar and that the only possible reason was TP's xenophobia.

One of my favourite players, I don't know if he's been mentioned, was the lad we had on loan from liverpool, was it Frode kippe or something like that. I remember, we wanted him play in the autoglass trophy final but liverpool wouldn't allow him for soem reason

I'll always like Kopteff for the goal he scored in the reserves against Sheffield Wednesday! The pitch was heavily waterlogged and he was like Jesus gliding through the defence on water. He beat about 6 men and then tucked it away in the bottom corner, brilliant goal. Other than that, he was a plethora of wank!
