This is getting better. Wolves, Burnley Hull and us all spoiling the Prem clique. All we need now is for us 4 to stay up, Scunthorpe to win the Championship, Doncaster to finish second and Brizzle City to win the play-offs next season. I can see some long faces in the press then. OS.

Am sure I heard the commentator say that Beattie was STILL their top league scorer this season - they prob would have gone up automatic if he had stayed.

Well done Burnley!
Does anyone else not like Owen Coyle or is that just me? Something about him just winds me up, I don't what though! ;D
Pato in the Prem too, I reckon he'll do well!

Burnley was always a good day out ;D
Fantastic to see yet another unfancied side daring to grace the Prem.
Gotta wonder what value sits on Pato's head now?

seems we will be in that stand which we were in before when we had to stay behind and Mama scored and it was snowing and Dooooobs gave us a song this from www.footballgroundguide.co.ukThe club have announced a £20m re-development of Turf Moor. This will involve replacing the David Fishwick Stand with a new 2,500 capacity single tiered stand, that will incorporate some corporate hospitality boxes and will cost in the region of £10m. At the back of this will be built a a new Cricket Pavilion for the neighbouring Cricket Club. A new three tiered glass fronted hospitality block also incorporating new changing rooms for the teams is to be built between the Jimmy McIlroy Stand and James Hargreaves Stands. The second phase of the works will include the re-furbishment of the Bob Lord Stand. Other elements to the scheme involve the building of a hotel, multi-screen cinema and new supporters bar. Away fans will be housed in the lower tier of the Jimmy McIlroy Stand whilst the works take place. The capacity will be around the 22,000 mark. In anticipated that the works will be completed for the start of the 2010/11 season. hm, actually seems that may be wrong this from Burnley official site season ticket section www.burnleyfootballclub.com/page/SeasonTickets/0,,10413,00.html James Hargreaves Stand Due to the deterioration of the David Fishwick (Cricket Field) Stand, and the possibility that we will need to do some work on the area, or start work on the new 'auditorium-style stand', we cannot guarantee this stand will be available to visiting supporters for the whole of the 2009/10 season. After consultation with the police and our ground safety advisors, the best alternative location for these supporters is considered to be a section of the James Hargreaves Stand. Season tickets in this area will therefore only be sold on the basis that supporters may need to vacate this area for all or part of the season. In the event that supporters are asked to move, the club will upgrade season tickets for this area.

Good! Even though I was unsure who I wanted to be promoted. After the event I am happy it's Burnley - the atmosphere at the Stoke - Burnley & Dingles games next year will be fantastic! I really do hope Preston finally make it up next season.

I'm chuffed for them as well.
No doubt McCabe will have taken legal advice about suing Burnley for playing better than them yesterday.

Well I was at the game yesterday with my partner, her family and the kids and what a cracking day out. The new Wembley generates a far better atmosphere than the old one and the Burnley fans really did rock the place. By far the best non-Stoke game I've ever been to, and I couldn't help but join in. Only down-side is that the new Wembley still has the same cr@p carparks and road system and it took 2 hours for the coach just to get away from the place. Oh and £5.60 for a smegging sausage in a bit of bread is really taking the p!$$.
I wore a Stoke training top (didn't think it was a good idea to wear the red and white stripes given the opposition) and not a hint of a problem with any of the supporters, just a bit of good-natured banter (which will no doubt continue at home now). Chatting to them on the coach on the way home I pointed out to them that they actually have one advantage over what we had last season in that the cup-run they had has really given them a lot of media attention and this will certainly help them when it comes to recruiting players for next season as they've proven they can match premiership opposition with the team they have now.
There was a "spot the deliberate mistake" in the match programme - it had Cardiff in the play-offs according to the league table!?! The interview with Paterson in the programme says that Wilko was going to be at the game as they're still in regular contact.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but a certain Mr Lee Hendrie was shown a red card after the final whistle for foul and abusive language towards Mike Dean.
